Working closely with Electron Optics, Systems Engineering, Electronics and Product teams, you will develop software that enables image acquisition, visualization, measurement, automation and scientific workflows, helping deliver high-performance and intuitive instrument operation.\nThis position provides opportunities to participate throughout the product lifecycle, including concept evaluation, software development, system integration, verification, product enhancement and sustaining engineering.\nKey Responsibilities:\nScientific Imaging Software\nDesign, develop and maintain PC software supporting SEM imaging and scientific workflows.\nDevelop software for image acquisition, visualization, annotation, measurement and data management.\nOptimize software performance for high-resolution image display and responsive user interaction.\nSupport implementation of image acquisition pipelines and detector data visualization.\nInstrument Automation\nDevelop software supporting instrument automation and operator workflows.\nImplement software functions for instrument calibration, autofocus, auto stigmation, beam alignment and other automated operating procedures.\nDevelop software tools supporting instrument setup, diagnostics and service activities.\nImprove usability by designing intuitive operational workflows for scientific instrument users.\nSoftware Development\nDevelop modular, maintainable and testable software using modern software engineering practices.\nParticipate in software architecture discussions and contribute reusable software components.\nSupport software integration with instrument control software and embedded systems.\nParticipate in code reviews, software testing and continuous improvement activities.\nCross-functional Collaboration\nCollaborate closely with Electron Optics, Instrument Control Software, Electronics, Detector Electronics, Systems Engineering and Product teams.\nParticipate in system integration, verification and troubleshooting activities.\nSupport product enhancement and sustaining engineering throughout the product lifecycle.\nPrepare software documentation and contribute to engineering best practices\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.\nTypically 8+ years of experience developing PC software for scientific or industrial applications meeting 21CFR compliance.\nStrong proficiency in C# and object-oriented software development.\nExperience with multithreaded software development.\nExperience designing intuitive graphical user interfaces for technical or scientific applications.\nStrong software debugging and troubleshooting skills.\nExperience using Git or equivalent version control systems.\nEffective communication skills within cross-functional engineering teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:\nScientific imaging software.\nImage acquisition and visualization.\nOpenCV or other image processing libraries.\nScientific visualization and graphics programming.\nGPU programming (CUDA/OpenCL) is a plus.\nInstrument automation and workflow software.\nSEM, Optical Microscopy, Digital Imaging or other scientific instrumentation.\nAI assisted programming.\nProduct development, product enhancement and sustaining engineering.\nExperience collaborating within multidisciplinary engineering
