This program not only offers practical, hands-on opportunities and project work in partnership with our Human Resources team; but interns will also have the opportunity to enhance their existing skill sets through a range of professional development activities, cultivate relationships with employees and fellow interns, and participate in impactful volunteer initiatives within the community.\nPosition Summary:\nAs a Human Resources intern in our Internship Program, you will be a key contributor to our Human Resources team. Possible tasks that you assist with include:\nParticipate in HR projects/work teams supporting organizational initiatives\nCreate and distribute companywide communications\nCreate and develop HR specific training guides and templates\nBegin to develop a current knowledge of HR Laws and Regulations and raise any compliance concerns, assists with developing and maintaining multi state compliance tools\nAssist with maintaining a list of active job descriptions; partner with business leaders to ensure description accuracy\nProvide support throughout the HR team including Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Wellbeing, and other critical areas\nPerform general clerical tasks for the department\nRespond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, and other HR-related matters\nOther duties as assigned\nRequirements\nWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:\nCurrently working toward a degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field\nClear written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills\nStrong organization, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously\nHigh degree of discretion/confidentiality\nAbility to meet deadlines, work independently, and be an effective team member\nDemonstrated ability to be detail oriented and accurate\nProficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment and software packages\nProven experience working in an office environment preferred\nAbility to work onsite at our corporate office in Edina, MN\nCompensation Overview:\nThe base pay offered for this position will be $20.00/hour.\nMore About Western National Insurance Group:\nWestern National has long been known as “The Relationship Company®” and caring for our employees is part of that relationship commitment.
