This program not only offers practical, hands-on opportunities and project work in partnership with our Personal Lines Underwriting team; but interns will also have the opportunity to enhance their existing skill sets through a range of professional development activities, cultivate relationships with employees and fellow interns, and participate in impactful volunteer initiatives within the community.\nPosition Summary:\nAs a Personal Lines Underwriting intern in our Internship Program, you will be a key contributor to our Personal Lines team. Possible tasks that you assist with include:\nHelping maintain accurate rating and coverage on Personal Lines policies\nPartnering with underwriting and other departments to modify renewal business as needed\nAssessing replacement cost value for property business\nReviewing property inspections and recommending appropriate actions\nUpdate policy information as new details emerge\nCommunication with agency force regarding changes or requests for information\nRequirements\nWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:\nCompleted two years of college preferred\nAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail\nAbility to follow established processes and procedures\nEffective oral and written communication skills\nExcellent time management skills\nIntermediate experience with Word and Excel required\nAbility to work onsite at our corporate office in Edina, MN\nCompensation Overview:\nThe base pay offered for this position will be $20.00/hour.\nMore About Western National Insurance Group:\nWestern National has long been known as “The Relationship Company®” and caring for our employees is part of that relationship commitment.
