This program not only offers practical, hands-on opportunities and project work in partnership with our Product Engineering team; but interns will also have the opportunity to enhance their existing skill sets through a range of professional development activities, cultivate relationships with employees and fellow interns, and participate in impactful volunteer initiatives within the community.\nPosition Summary:\nAs a UX Intern in our Internship Program, you will be a key member of our Product Engineering team. Possible tasks that you will assist with include:\nConduct interviews, usability testing, surveys, and other research to understand agent needs.\nEvaluate workflows, navigation, content, accessibility, responsive design, and visual consistency across current agent portals.\nIdentify opportunities to create a more unified experience across agent portals and connected applications.\nCreate user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and other UX artifacts.\nCollaborate with product, engineering, QA, and business stakeholders to turn feedback into actionable designs and recommendations.\nPresent findings and document reusable UX patterns that support a future unified agent portal experience.\nRequirements\nWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:\nSenior-level undergraduate or graduate student studying UX design, human-computer interaction, interaction design, information architecture, psychology, or a related field.\nPrior experience with UX design, user research, product design, or interaction design.\nExperience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, journey maps, or similar UX artifacts; familiarity with Figma or a comparable design tool.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with a portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, research, or design work.\nCompensation Overview:\nThe base pay offered for this position will be $20.00/hour.\nMore About Western National Insurance Group:\nWestern National has long been known as “The Relationship Company®” and caring for our employees is part of that relationship commitment.
