At Alibaba, architected the core recommendation engine serving 500M daily users.\nWhat You'll Do:\nThis is the first design hire at Sirius, and we're looking for an engineer first - someone who ships production UI themselves and treats design as their specialty within that, not a separate discipline handed off to someone else. You'll set the visual and interaction language for everything we build, and then you'll write the TypeScript that makes it real. You'll be working on a product that touches real revenue for real companies, which means your decisions matter in ways you'll be able to see and measure.\nDesign and build product surfaces end to end - from Figma prototype to shipped, production-ready UI in our codebase\n\nBuild and own the design system in code - components, tokens, and the frontend architecture that keeps it consistent as we scale\n\nWork daily in Claude Code and TypeScript to prototype and ship production-ready UI - you're not handing off to an engineer, you're often the one shipping it\n\nPartner with founders on product direction, bringing a designer's perspective to strategy early - not just execution\n\nMove fast enough to keep pace with a small team, but carefully enough that the quality standard stays high\n\nWhat You'll Bring:\n3+ years of product design experience - enough that you've shipped something real and learned from what didn't land\n\nFigma fluency: components, variables, auto-layout, prototyping\n\nWorking proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks - you can take a design from prototype to shipped UI yourself\n\nStrong programming skills and Strong UI/UX design experience\n\nBS/MS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience\n\nBased in San Francisco or able to be here full-time.
