You balance conceptual thinking and technical execution, contributing meaningfully to campaigns, brand identity systems, and digital experiences while beginning to mentor more junior designers. You turn creative concepts into execution-ready design deliverables with a high level of polish, working both collaboratively and as an independent workstream lead. You bring a meticulous eye for detail and craft, consistently delivering precise, high-impact visual solutions that elevate our clients' brands.\nKey Responsibilities\nVisual Design Excellence & Execution\nDevelop brand, digital, campaign, and packaging design deliverables with a high level of polish and craft.\n\nIndependently translate creative briefs and strategic direction into impactful, execution-ready visual solutions across multiple channels.\n\nMaintain a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring consistency, precision, and visual storytelling across all touchpoints.\n\nCreative Collaboration & Conceptual Contribution\nPartner closely with Creative Directors, Associate Creative Directors, Copywriters, Strategists, and Production teams to bring ideas to life.\n\nActively contribute original ideas and conceptual thinking during brainstorms and early-stage creative development.\n\nTranslate overarching creative concepts into clear design frameworks and execution-ready assets.\n\nWorkstream Leadership & Mentorship\nLead smaller design tracks or workstreams, operating independently or solo when required.\n\nProvide thoughtful feedback, guidance, and informal mentorship to junior design team members to help elevate their craft.\n\nWho You Are\nA multidisciplinary designer with 3-5+ years of experience delivering strong campaign and brand system execution in an agency or creative environment.\n\nA creative thinker and maker with a portfolio demonstrating depth, range, and visual storytelling across digital, social, print, and brand identity systems.\n\nHighly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and fluent in Figma; working knowledge of 3D or experiential design tools is a plus.\n\nExperienced in working collaboratively with multidisciplinary creative teams while being comfortable owning design tracks independently within broader programs.\n\nDriven by a strong sense of craft, technical precision, and curiosity for emerging tools and design techniques.\n\nCollaborative, low-ego, accountable, and eager to help develop emerging creative talent.\n\nBachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, fine arts, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).\n\nRelationships\nReports to:Creative Director or Associate Creative Director\n\nDirect Reports & Teams:Provides informal mentorship and guidance to junior design team members.\n\nInternal Cross-Functional Partners:Collaborates closely with CDs, ACDs, Copywriters, Strategists, Production, and Account leads.\n\nExternal Partners:Collaborates with external partners and clients on design workstreams and track deliverables as needed.\n\nWork Environment and Physical Demands\nThe following capabilities are required in order to perform the essential functions of this position.\nReasonable accommodations that do not create an undue burden on the agency are available to address the following requirements:\nUsing standard office equipment, computers, and related technology.\n\nCertain activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.\n\nBending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds.\n\nThesis operates on a hybrid work model, with in-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Mondays and Fridays.\n\nAs a proud B-Corp, Thesis prioritizes candidates based in the Portland Metro area to allow for a hybrid working set-up in our beautiful office in NW Portland.\n\nNo travel is anticipated for this role.\n\nInclusion and Encouragement\nWe know that experience can show up in many ways, and we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet 100% of the qualifications.
