In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting daily finance operations, including managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with month-end close activities, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of day-to-day financial transactions.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPlay an instrumental role in scaling and strengthening the accounts payable and receivable infrastructure to support new projects, products, and business lines, including evaluating and implementing technology solutions to drive efficiency\nManage day-to-day AP/AR operations, including processing vendor invoices accurately and on time, ensuring proper coding and approval workflows\nGenerate customer invoices, proactively follow up on outstanding payments, and manage the collections process, including resolving billing discrepancies and customer inquiries\nPrepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations, roll-forwards, and flux analysis to support accurate reporting and financial planning\nSupport the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders\nPartner cross-functionally (e.g., Merch and Content teams) to establish best practices for tracking spend accurately and efficiently and ensuring financial results are reported properly\nIdentify gaps in existing workflows and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability\nAssist with audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related requirements\nSupport ad hoc projects as needed in a fast-paced, evolving environment\n Who You Are:\n1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in public accounting and/or within media, entertainment, or e-commerce environments\nSelf-starter with a strong sense of ownership over work product and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively\nAble to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics\nStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices\nProficient in NetSuite or another major ERP system\nAdvanced Excel skills with a willingness to dig into data and question inconsistencies\nHighly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment\nCPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus\nThis position may be partially remote for those based on the east coast, with flexibility to work from home on certain days while maintaining regular in-person collaboration as needed\nThe salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 USD. Compensation subject to experience and location.
