It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining the team.\nWhy be a Consolidation Accountant at THG?\nYou will be joining a FTSE 250 business and be able to play a key role in Group Finance, supporting the preparation of group and sub-group consolidations, IFRS 16 lease accounting, and external financial reporting. You'll be working within a fast-paced, international business, you'll gain exposure to complex accounting matters while helping ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical expertise and make a real impact in a dynamic, growing organisation.\nAs a Consolidation Accountant you will:\nGroup Consolidation & Reporting:\nPrepare and review group and multi layered sub-consolidations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and UK reporting standards.\nCoordinate with various finance teams to collect, validate, and consolidate financial data.\nPrepare consolidation journals, including reclasses.\nIFRS16 Lease Accounting:\nManage accounting related to IFRS16 leases, ensure proper recognition, measurement, and disclosure of leases.\nMaintain an system ownership of lease details within consolidation system\nTechnical Accounting:\nProvide expertise on technical accounting matters, including debt, foreign exchange (FX), and equity transactions.\nAssist with the preparation and review of technical accounting papers for management and auditors.\nPreparation of Financial Notes:\nDraft and review notes to the financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UK statutory requirements.\nEnsure completeness, accuracy, and clarity of disclosures.\nProcess Improvement:\nIdentify and implement process improvements within the consolidation and reporting functions.\nEnsure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to best practices in financial reporting.\nCompliance & Audit:\nSupport the year-end audit process by preparing required schedules and liaising with auditors.\nEnsure compliance with internal controls and governance policies.\nWhat skills and experience do I need for this role?\nACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with 2-3 years of relevant experience in consolidation and technical accounting.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS16, and UK financial reporting requirements.\n\nProficiency in financial consolidation systems (particularly Tagetik) and advanced Excel skills.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\n\nExperience in a UK-listed company or similar environment is preferred.\n\nPersonal Attributes:\nDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality output.\n\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.\n\nProactive, self-motivated, and collaborative team player.\n\nWhat's in it for me?\nCareer Development\nAccess bespoke development programmes that have been designed and developed by our in-house L&D team.\nContinued development through our upskilling programme that is delivered in partnership with an industry-leading training provider.\nEnhanced Leave\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.\nDon’t want to work on your birthday?
