It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining the team.\nWhy be the Group Financial Controller at THG? \nThe Group is a listed business with increasing corporate governance and accounting requirements worldwide. You will be reporting into the Group Finance Director and support across our financial reporting and Group finance function.\nYou will have a strong financial reporting skill base, able to support across UK and global compliance, lead the THG PLC Group audit along with supporting on one off projects as they arise. Sitting at a Group level, you will see all divisions of the business and work closely with our commercial teams, tax, treasury and investor relations, you will therefore be someone who is personable and keen to build strong relationships and networks across the business. You will have strong project management skills driving high quality deliverables on time.\nYou will be part of the Group Finance team, reporting into the Group Finance Director and have a team of five reporting into you ranging from newly qualified to several years post qualified. In addition, you will gain exposure to senior stakeholders and the Senior Leadership team.\nAs the Group Financial Controller, you will:\nHead up our Group-wide compliance responsibilities, project planning and managing a team of to deliver each workstream,\nPrepare technical management papers documenting accounting decisions made to be reported to the Board and Audit Committee,\nBe the key contact for the auditors, leading the team on the delivery of the THG Group audit, interim and other reporting requirements,\nOwn relationships with specialist advisors,\nReview and deliver high quality financial statements compliant with IFRS,\nOpportunity to get involved with one off projects throughout the year,\nConstantly challenge the status quo on how we can improve controls across the Group, implement ideas and improvements to strength our financial controls,\nLead the implementation of technology solutions to automate solutions and transforming the processes,\nDirect and mentor junior members of the team,\nBuild strong networks across the business, regularly liaising with the divisional teams, FP&A, legal and tax teams.\nReport to the Group CFO and Deputy CFO regularly on key issues.\nWhat skills and experience do I need for this role? \nQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) with 5+ years post qualified experience.
