You will work closely with experienced colleagues, managers and employees, developing your knowledge of HR systems, processes and employment practices while completing your apprenticeship.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, approachable and keen to build a career in HR.\nAs a People Services Assistant, you will:\nSupport the People Services team with day-to-day HR administration.\nHelp collect and check new starter information and documentation.\nSupport the onboarding and induction process for new employees.\nMaintain accurate electronic employee records and personnel files.\nAssist with monitoring probation periods and preparing relevant reports.\nHelp respond to general queries from managers and employees, escalating more complex questions when needed.\nSupport the leaver process, ensuring information is recorded accurately and on time.\nAssist with preparing resignation confirmations and other employee correspondence.\nSupport the preparation of change of terms letters, ensuring information is accurate and approved.\nUpdate the HR system to reflect changes to employee information, reporting lines and organisational structures.\nAssist with processing employment contracts through the appropriate approval process.\nHelp ensure contracts are issued and signed through the DocuSign portal.\nLearn how different templates and processes apply across countries, departments, roles and acquired businesses.\nSupport regular checks to ensure documents have been returned, signed and filed correctly.\nAssist with the preparation of weekly international payroll information.\nWork collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across our international locations.\nDevelop a strong understanding of HR systems, including Frontier Software.\nSupport the wider People Team with projects and administrative tasks as required.\nTake responsibility for completing your apprenticeship work and applying your learning in the workplace.\nWhat skills and experience do I need?\nWe are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about starting a career in HR and is willing to learn. You do not need previous HR experience, but you should be able to demonstrate:\nA genuine interest in people, HR and business administration.\nA positive attitude and willingness to learn.\nGood organisation skills and attention to detail.\nThe ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.\nClear and professional communication skills.\nThe confidence to ask questions and seek guidance when needed.\nThe ability to work effectively as part of a team.\nA discreet and confidential approach when handling personal information.\nBasic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.\nThe ability to review information carefully and identify errors or missing details.\nA practical and proactive approach to problem-solving.\nWhat you will learn\nYou will develop experience and knowledge in:\nHR administration and employee lifecycle processes.\nRecruitment, onboarding and leaver administration.\nMaintaining accurate employee data and HR records.\nHR systems and reporting.\nPayroll processes and deadlines.\nEmployment documentation and change processes.\nProviding effective support to managers and employees.\nConfidentiality, data protection and compliance.\nWorking with stakeholders across different teams and countries.\nYou will receive support from the People Team throughout your apprenticeship, with regular guidance, feedback and opportunities to build your confidence and develop your career within HR.\nTHG Ingenuity is proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
