Capabilities include:\nIn-house market knowledge & trends\nEnd-to-end service from idea generation through to manufacturing and launch\nTechnical, commercial and production expertise\nOutstanding customer service\nAbout the Role\nWe’re looking for a proactive and versatile Maintenance Engineer with strong mechanical expertise and sound electrical knowledge to join our fast-paced engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of production and site equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimal downtime.\nAs a Multi-Skilled Engineer you will:\n\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors, bearings, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, and automated machinery.\nDiagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs in accordance with safety standards and manufacturers’ guidelines.\nUndertake equipment strip-downs, component replacements, alignments, adjustments, and rebuilds.\nPerform basic electrical fault-finding and safely isolate equipment when required.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to engineering projects aimed at improving equipment reliability, performance, and efficiency.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records using the company’s CMMS system.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety, environmental, and quality standards.\nProvide technical support and collaborate closely with production and operations teams.\nWhat skills and experience do I need for this role?\n\nEssential Requirements:\nTime-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, ONC, or HNC) in Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineering.\nProven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environment.\nStrong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with practical experience working on bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.\nSound electrical knowledge, including motors, sensors, control systems, and safe electrical isolation.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical diagrams, and schematics.\nExcellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.\nFlexible, team-oriented, and capable of working independently under pressure.\nDesirable:\nElectrical qualification or experience undertaking basic electrical maintenance and fault-finding.\nExperience working with automated systems, robotics, or packaging machinery.\nWelding, fabrication, machining, or mechanical fitting experience.\nKnowledge of lean maintenance or continuous improvement practices, including TPM, Kaizen, and 5S.\nWhat's in it for me?\nCareer Development\n\nAccess bespoke development programmes that have been designed and developed by our in-house L&D team.\nContinued development through our upskilling programme that is delivered in partnership with an industry-leading training provider.\nEnhanced Leave\n\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.\nDon’t want to work on your birthday?
