Known for its innovation capabilities, quality, and manufacturing excellence, Bentley maintains the highest standards in GMP compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.\nWhy be an Operations Master Scheduler at Bentley Labs?\nThe Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating the organization’s long-term production schedule to ensure customer demand, manufacturing capacity, material availability, labor requirements, and operational constraints are effectively balanced.\nThis position serves as the bridge between Sales, Customer Service, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Compounding, Production, Quality, and Operations, translating customer demand and business priorities into an achievable forward-looking manufacturing plan.\nThe Master Scheduler focuses primarily on the medium- and long-term planning horizon, identifying capacity constraints, scheduling conflicts, material risks, and resource requirements before they impact execution.\nAs an Operations Master Scheduler, you will: \nDevelop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on demand, orders, forecasts, inventory needs, and business priorities.\nMaintain a rolling 8-12+ week production outlook with longer-range visibility where practical.\nTranslate customer demand into achievable production plans based on manufacturing capacity.\nAssess capacity across production equipment, labor, warehouse space, quality requirements, and material availability.\nIdentify and proactively address capacity constraints, bottlenecks, scheduling conflicts, and resource gaps.\nPerform capacity-versus-demand analysis and escalate projected shortages or overloads to Operations leadership.\nEstablish and communicate production priorities aligned with customer requirements, material availability, operational efficiency, and business objectives.\nCoordinate with Purchasing, Planning, and Quality to ensure material availability and account for testing, release timelines, validations, investigations, and other quality constraints.\nPartner with Operations and Production leadership to optimize manufacturing campaigns, reduce changeovers, and maximize equipment and labor utilization.\nAssess the impact of new orders, expedited requests, forecast changes, material delays, equipment downtime, and other disruptions on the master schedule.\nProvide realistic production date commitments and maintain visibility of planned versus actual production performance.\nLead regular scheduling and capacity review meetings, communicating significant schedule changes and downstream impacts to stakeholders.\nEnsure schedule accuracy and the integrity of planning data used for decision-making.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on scheduling, capacity utilization, lead-time reduction, inventory management, and manufacturing efficiency.\nDevelop, maintain, and report scheduling KPIs for Operations leadership.\nPlanning Horizons\nThe Master Scheduler is expected to manage production through defined planning horizons:\nLong Range - 8+ Weeks\nCapacity planning, major customer demand, forecasts, material requirements, resource constraints, and anticipated manufacturing load.\nMid Range - 3-8 Weeks\nProduction sequencing, campaign planning, material readiness, equipment requirements, and identification/resolution of capacity conflicts.\nNear Term - 1-2 Weeks\nTransition of the approved master schedule to the short-term scheduling/production team for detailed execution.\nThe Master Scheduler should generally not manage hourly production activity or routine daily line adjustments unless those changes materially affect the master production plan.\nWhat skills and experience do I need for this role?\n3-5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or a related field.\nExperience in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, OTC, personal-care, food, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments is desirable not essential. \nExperience developing or managing master production schedules in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing capacity planning and production workflows.\nExperience working with ERP/MRP systems.\nAdvanced Excel and data-analysis skills.\nAbility to analyze large amounts of operational data and convert it into actionable production plans.\nStrong organizational and prioritization skills.\nExcellent cross-functional communication skills.\nAbility to identify conflicts and risks well in advance and drive resolution across departments.\nCompensation\n$115,000-$125,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.\nTHG is proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
