Grow Into Management.\nAre you an experienced math tutor or educator who's ready to take on more responsibility and explore a future in education management?\nAt Think Zone Learning Center, we're looking for a personable, dependable, and motivated Lead Math Tutor to support K-8 students and help maintain a positive, high-quality learning environment at our Redwood City location.\nThis is a hands-on role where you'll continue tutoring students while providing guidance to fellow tutors, supporting daily instructional activities, and working closely with center management.\nPrevious management experience isn't required! We're looking for someone with strong math skills, strong communication skills, leadership skills and a willingness to learn.\nAbout Think Zone\nThink Zone Learning Center, part of TAL Education Group, provides in-person K-8 math enrichment programs designed to help students strengthen their academic foundations, build confidence, and develop critical thinking skills.\nWe believe great learning experiences start with passionate educators, supportive families, and strong teams.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nTeach & Support Students\nProvide engaging math tutoring to K-8 students, adapting instruction to different learning styles and academic needs.\nHelp students build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and develop a positive attitude toward math.\nMonitor student progress and work with center staff to address learning challenges.\nSupport Fellow Tutors\nServe as a resource for fellow tutors by sharing teaching strategies, materials, and best practices.\nProvide guidance and constructive feedback when needed to support consistent instructional quality.\nHelp new tutors become familiar with Think Zone's teaching methods and expectations.\nSupport a collaborative, welcoming, and student-focused learning environment.\nTake Initiative in Center Operations\nWork closely with center management to support daily tutoring activities and classroom coordination.\nHelp ensure tutoring sessions run smoothly and students receive consistent support.\nCommunicate student progress, instructional needs, and feedback to center staff.\nGain exposure to parent communication, student management, and daily center operations.\nTake on additional responsibilities as you develop your leadership and organizational skills.\nWho We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nStrong K-8 math knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly.\nPrevious experience tutoring or teaching mathematics.\nStrong spoken and written English communication skills.\nComfortable working with students of different ages and learning abilities.\nPatient, personable, organized, and dependable.\nAble to take initiative and provide support to fellow tutors when needed.\nInterest in developing leadership and management skills.\nPreferred, But Not Required\nCurrently pursuing or holding a degree in Mathematics, Education, STEM, or a related field.\nPrevious mentoring, training, or team coordination experience.\nExperience communicating with parents or supporting student progress.\nInterest in education management, center operations, or student enrollment.\nWe value potential as much as experience.\nSchedule & Compensation\nPay: $19-$22/hour.\nHours: Approximately 10-20 hours per week.\nAvailability: Ideally 4-6 hours per day, approximately four days per week.\nPreferred Availability: Saturday and weekday afternoons.\n Location: Redwood City, CA (Onsite).\nCareer Growth at Think Zone\nWe believe strong center leaders can grow from strong educators.
