Create a warm, positive, high-expectation learning environment suited to early learners\n\nGrade homework, give timely feedback, and communicate proactively and professionally with parents about progress, classroom behavior, and learning habits.\n\nDeeply understand each lesson's teaching goals and common student sticking points, rather than simply following slides\n\nParticipate in training, lesson prep, and ongoing professional development; take feedback well and continuously refine your teaching and service habits\n\nSchedule & Commitment\n\nOnboarding starts September 2026; teaching begins October 2026\n\n~3-6 classes/week (6-12 teaching hours), plus admin hours (grading, prep, parent comms) — total 30-40 hrs/week\n\nClass windows (Pacific Time): Wed-Fri, 4pm-8pm and Sat-Sun, 9am-8pm\n\nOnce classes are assigned, your schedule stays consistent week to week (except federal holidays)\n\nCommit to at least one year (till May 2027)\n\nRelocation potential: for candidates on the Grade Leader track, we'd like you to be able to relocate to our Bay Area office between November and January, contingent on strong performance in your first few months\n\nCompensation & Benefits\n\nTeaching Hours: $35-40/hour\n\nNon-Teaching/Admin Hours: $16-20/hour (grading, class prep, parent communication)\n\nPerformance-based pay increases up to 3 times per year, plus end-of-semester commission targeted at 15-30% of total teaching compensation\n\nBenefits: 401(k), health/dental/vision insurance (based on eligibility)\n\nVisa sponsorship may be considered for long-term, high-performing teachers\n\nWho We're Looking For\n\nBachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university\n\nStrong math foundation, comfortable with U.S. Elementary School math content or above; Education, Child Development, Math Education, Psychology, or related majors preferred\n\nFluent, confident English instruction skills, plus the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with parents and internal team members in Chinese or bilingually\n\nMeaningful prior experience with young learners (tutoring, camp teaching, after-school programs, classroom teaching, mentoring).
