Signal is our in-house ERP application, built to run the operational backbone of Foundry, supporting workflows like production and work order management, inventory and materials tracking, procurement, and integration scheduling. Signal is the system of record that keeps engineering, operations, and delivery teams aligned as infrastructure moves through design, build, and deployment. You’ll join a globally distributed, progressive engineering team across the US and India that lives on the forefront of technology: one that builds real products, adopts new tools early, and never stops learning.\nAs a Senior Developer on the team, you’ll own features from design to delivery, working primarily in Elixir, Phoenix, and Phoenix LiveView. You’ll help shape Signal’s architecture, raise the bar on code quality, and mentor other engineers as we grow the Foundry team in India. We’re looking for an engineer who uses AI tools and coding agents fluently while holding a high bar on review, testing, and ownership. As AI takes on more of the routine, an engineer’s edge comes from judgment, product sense, and the discipline to verify what ships.\nUse AI tools and coding agents as a force multiplier, while staying fully accountable for the correctness, security, and maintainability of what you ship.\n\nReview AI-generated code with the same rigor as any other code, and know when to push back on it.\n\nHelp shape the team’s AI workflows, tooling, and standards, and share what’s working with the rest of the team.\n\nWhat Will You Be Doing?\nDesign, build, and maintain features in Signal, Foundry’s in-house ERP, primarily in Elixir, Phoenix, and Phoenix LiveView.\n\nLead and own product features end to end, from requirements and design through delivery, production support, and iteration.\n\nWork across Signal’s core workflows, including production and work order management, inventory and materials tracking, procurement, and integration scheduling.\n\nCollaborate closely with developers, product, and operations stakeholders across the US and India, including regular overlap with US working hours.\n\nParticipate in the design of large, complex solutions and help the team make sound architectural decisions.\n\nWrite well-tested, maintainable code, and keep quality high through thorough, constructive code reviews.\n\nMentor and support other engineers, and help build a strong engineering culture within the India team.\n\nBuild and maintain integrations between Signal and other AHEAD platforms and third-party systems.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve production issues, and leave the system better than you found it.\n\nContribute to the team’s roadmap, development processes, and engineering standards.\n\nWhat Does the Ideal Candidate Look Like?\n6+ years of professional software development experience.\n\nStrong proficiency in Elixir and Phoenix, with hands-on experience building applications in Phoenix LiveView.\n\nSolid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), data modeling, and Ecto.\n\nGood testing practices and experience with CI/CD, build tooling, and containerization.\n\nFluency with modern AI development tools and coding agents, and the judgment to verify what they produce.\n\nA strong understanding of and passion for software design, architecture, and usability.\n\nExperience with other backend languages, and some experience with JavaScript and front-end frameworks.\n\nExperience working on a distributed team across time zones, with clear, direct written and verbal communication in English.\n\nComfortable working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to turn business problems into working software.\n\nComfortable with ambiguity and able to make sound decisions with incomplete information.\n\nDriven to keep learning and stay current with the latest in development practices and tooling.\n\nFamiliarity with REST and GraphQL APIs and cloud infrastructure is a
