Our backend scans, ingests and processes tens of millions of posts every month and turns them into cases our customers act on. You'll work across the backend, with a particular focus on how data comes into the system.\nWhat you'll do:\nDesign, build and own production backend services and APIs end-to-end.\nImprove our data ingestion layer: crawlers, third-party data providers, and the pipelines that load into our databases.\nMake data collection reliable and cost-efficient, including proxy strategy, rate limits, retries, and evaluating and selecting vendors.\nWork on high-throughput systems: queues, consumers, large datasets and observability.\nShip product features with the team from API to production.\nWhat makes you a good fit:\n4+ years of professional work experience building production backends in Go, Node.js, Python or similar.\nStrong experience with databases like PostgreSQL, ClickHouse and others, and AWS services such as ECS, RDS, Lambda and CloudWatch.\nExperience building data ingestion or crawling systems at scale, and comfortable dealing with unreliable external sources.\nStrong understanding of system design principles for production-grade systems.\nWell integrated with AI coding tools like Claude, Codex etc.\nComfortable with US timezones.\nWhat makes you a great fit:\nExperience with web scraping, proxies (residential/mobile) or headless browsers in production.\nProven experience with very large datasets and analytical (OLAP) workloads.\nStrong sense of cost optimization and build-vs-buy judgment when choosing vendors.\nExperience building with LLM APIs or agents.\nBenefits:\nWork from anywhere - We're a distributed team across multiple timezones with a focus on outputs instead of location or working hours.\nGenerous PTO policy.\nCompetitive pay bracket.\nEquity at a fast growing YC backed co in a disruptive market.\nPlease read before applying:\nPlease include a note where you answer in not more than 100 words: 'What is the most complex data ingestion or backend system you've built where you were the sole or primary developer?
