About third

Third is a modern-commerce growth company helping brands turn new and emerging platforms into real sales channels. Our integrated acquisition strategy connects best-in-class teams across TikTok, Whatnot, Meta, Snap, and beyond - eliminating the need to stitch together multiple partners. Third blends deep niche expertise with modern execution to launch, operate, and scale commerce on new platforms, transforming culture, creators, and content into real product sales.

The Role

We’re looking for a highly creative, analytical, and performance-minded Creative Strategist to develop creative strategies and user-generated content (UGC) concepts that drive measurable results for our clients. The Creative Strategist will turn brand objectives, consumer insights, cultural trends, and performance data into compelling creative concepts, hooks, scripts, and briefs. You’ll work closely with creators, editors, and creative talent managers to bring ideas to life - and use performance data to continually make the work better.

Great performance creative sits at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, consumer psychology, and data. You’ll constantly study what’s working across social platforms, understand why it works, and turn those insights into new creative opportunities for our clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop high-quality creative concepts, angles, hooks, scripts, and briefs.
  • Translate product benefits and customer pain points into compelling consumer-facing messaging.
  • Build a strong understanding of each client’s brand voice, target customer, positioning, and competitive landscape.
  • Use performance data to make creative better
  • Analyze creative performance to understand what is working, what isn’t, and why.
  • Turn performance data and creative learnings into actionable recommendations and new concepts.
  • Develop testing strategies across hooks, concepts, messaging, formats, CTAs, creators, and storytelling.
  • Identify winning creative patterns and turn those learnings into repeatable frameworks.
  • Study successful content across TikTok, Meta, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms to identify emerging creative opportunities.
  • Bring creative ideas to life
  • Write and/or guide UGC scripts that feel authentic to the platform while remaining aligned with the brand and campaign objective.
  • Partner with creators, editors, and creative talent managers to ensure concepts are executed effectively.
  • Provide clear creative direction and feedback throughout the production process.
  • Present creative recommendations and strategic insights to internal teams and clients when needed.
  • Manage multiple brands and creative projects while maintaining a high standard of quality and strategic thinking.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in UGC creative strategy, performance marketing, advertising, copywriting, social media, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of direct-response and performance creative.
  • Experience using creative analytics or intelligence platforms such as Motion, Atria, MagicBrief, or similar tools.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills; ability to generate a high volume of differentiated creative ideas.
  • Strong understanding of consumer psychology and what makes people stop scrolling, engage, and take action.
  • Experience analyzing creative performance data and turning insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Deep familiarity with TikTok, Meta, Instagram, YouTube, and other short-form content platforms.
  • Strong awareness of current social media trends, creators, formats, and platform behaviors.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to move quickly, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort receiving feedback, testing ideas, learning from performance, and iterating quickly.

Who You Are

  • You constantly find yourself asking, “Why did this ad work?”
  • You can look at a successful piece of content and identify the hook, angle, mechanism, storytelling approach, and psychological trigger behind it.
  • You love coming up with ideas that can help a brand grow.
  • You know how to turn a basic product benefit into an interesting story.
  • You understand that creative isn’t just about making something look good - it needs to get people to act.
  • You’re comfortable using data to challenge your own creative instincts.
  • You enjoy working with creators and figuring out how to bring the best performance out of each person.
  • You’re naturally curious and are always saving ads, TikToks, hooks, screenshots, brands, creators, and other examples for inspiration.
  • You can balance strong creative intuition with performance data.
  • You’re energized by building creative that feels native to the platform and delivers business results.
