We’re a group of expectation-exceeding, fun-loving, innovative professionals.\nSUMMARY OF POSITION\nDestination Cleveland is seeking a self-motivated, passionate individual to gain valuable experience in the field of PR/communications. This person should be prepared to work on a variety of projects and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of destination PR and communications.\n COMPENSATION & EXPECTATIONS\nMandatory Start Date & Orientation: January 06, 2027\n$1000 Monthly Stipend (paid twice monthly over the course of the 16 week internship)\n200-275 hours of the course of the semester (15-20 hours per week)\nFlexible Scheduling\n$50/Month Stipend\nInternship duration: SPRING 2027 (January 06 -April 30)\nBENEFITS\nBuild your portfolio\nOne-on-one mentoring\nExposure to a variety of professions within the hospitality industry\nOpportunities to attend professional networking events occurring in the region\nWork at a nationally recognized destination marketing & management organization\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPR Materials & Resources Maintenance: Help update media fact sheets and media section of website, including Cleveland in the News and Cleveland Accolades.\nPR Writing: Organize and develop descriptions of new attractions, hotels, restaurants, etc. to be used in news releases and itineraries for visiting media; assist with creation of news releases and out-of-market media and B2B newsletters.\nMedia Tracking: Assist with tracking media coverage, editing broadcast clips and updating media logs.\n Media Relations: Assist with curation and writing of content for local leisure media pitches as well as talking points for requested interviews; media list?development through research of online, print and broadcast media outlets; Assist with media familiarization trips and organizing travel writer itineraries (as needed.)\nList Development & Maintenance: Create and update detailed lists for internal tracking of local breweries, restaurants and other categories as needed; create and update lists of diverse annual events, celebrations and commemorations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
