You will be the primary point of contact with regulators and will work closely with the Board and SEO to manage regulatory risk. This role requires a proactive leader with deep expertise in compliance, financial crime prevention, and regulatory frameworks in the UAE.\nIf you have a strong background in compliance within a regulated industry, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working with FSRA or DFSA, this role is for you.\nWhat You’ll Do\nCompliance Responsibilities:\n- Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.\n- Implement a risk-based compliance program.\n- Conduct trade surveillance and transaction monitoring.\n- Provide regulatory guidance to staff, the SEO, and the Board.\n- Prepare and present compliance reports for the Board.\nMLRO Responsibilities:\n- Maintain Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and procedures.\n- Oversee Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes.\n- Identify, analyze, and report suspicious transactions.\n- Provide AML training and advisory support.\n- Act as the primary contact for filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).\nWhat You’ll Need\nMust-Have Skills & Traits:\n- Established rapport with FSRA or DFSA (experience is a must).\n- Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks.\n- 4-6 years of experience in compliance within a regulated industry.\n- FSRA or DFSA-approved person (preferred).\n- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field.\nNice-to-Have Skills & Traits:\n- Experience with a Category 3A licensed firm.\n- Knowledge of ADGM Data Protection laws.\n- Familiarity with SQL for compliance data analysis.\nWho Are We?\nThndr was founded on a bold dream to democratize access to investing through smart tech and human-centric design.
