This includes looking at Treasury Bills and Bonds, Corporate Bonds, Sukuk, and Eurobonds, as well as analysing issuers, reviewing financial statements, and keeping financial models up to date.\nWe’re looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, is curious about financial markets, and can turn data and research into clear, useful insights.\nWhat You’ll Do\nFollow developments in fixed income and money markets, including Treasury Bills, Treasury Bonds, Corporate Bonds, Sukuk, and Eurobonds.\n\nResearch economic indicators, interest rates, inflation, and monetary policy, and assess how they affect the market.\n\nReview companies’ financial statements to understand their financial position and assess their creditworthiness.\n\nBuild and update financial models to analyse yield curves, duration, convexity, and the relative value of different instruments.\n\nTrack daily yields, prices, auction results, and other market developments, sharing relevant updates with the team.\n\nPrepare regular market updates covering yield movements, auctions, and key economic developments.\n\nSupport portfolio managers and traders with research ahead of auctions, new issuances, and investment decisions.\n\nMonitor portfolio liquidity, upcoming maturities, and cash flow requirements across managed mandates.\n\nPresent your findings and investment views during team discussions and investment committee meetings.\n\nKeep research files, financial models, and market databases accurate and up to date.\n\nBuild relationships with issuers, banks, brokers, rating agencies, and other market participants.\n\nFollow internal policies and procedures, ensuring research activities comply with applicable FRA guidelines.\n\nWork on ad hoc analysis and research requests from the Fixed Income team.\n\nWhat You’ll Need\n1-4 years of experience in fixed income, money markets, or a related financial analysis role.\n\nA bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.\n\nA good understanding of fixed income instruments and money markets.\n\nStrong financial analysis skills, including the ability to review financial statements and assess credit risk.\n\nUnderstanding of fixed income valuation and modelling, particularly yield curves, duration, and convexity.\n\nAn interest in macroeconomic developments and how they affect interest rates and bond markets.\n\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail when working with financial data.\n\nGood written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain findings clearly.\n\nThe ability to work closely with different stakeholders and manage multiple tasks.\n\nNice to have\nExperience in asset management or a bank’s Treasury department, particularly ALM or a dealing room.\n\nExperience in financial research or investment analysis.\n\nFamiliarity with the Egyptian fixed income market.\n\nExperience using Bloomberg or Refinitiv Eikon.\n\nAdvanced Excel skills; knowledge of Python or Power BI is a plus.\n\nExposure to bond auctions, new issuances, or corporate credit analysis.\n\nExperience preparing market reports or investment research.\n\nWhy this role matters\nAs Thndr’s managed mandates grow, the team needs solid research to understand market movements, assess risks, and make better investment decisions.\nAs a Fixed Income Associate, your work will help the team evaluate opportunities, understand the impact of economic changes, and make informed decisions across different fixed income instruments.\nYou’ll have the chance to build your expertise in fixed income markets, work closely with experienced investment professionals, and see how your analysis contributes to real investment decisions.\nIf you enjoy financial markets, digging into data, and understanding the reasons behind market movements, we’d love to hear from you.\nWho Are We?\nThndr was founded on a bold dream to democratize access to investing through smart tech and human-centric design.
