This role combines personal injury litigation expertise with instructional design and attorney development experience to create high-impact learning initiatives that strengthen legal skills, case outcomes, client service, and firm performance.\nThe Learning & Development Attorney will report to the Chief Learning Officer, Mentorship & Professional Development, and partner closely with firm leadership, practice group leaders, trial attorneys, subject matter experts, to ensure training programs are practical, engaging, legally accurate, and aligned with the firm's strategic goals.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and implement attorney and staff learning and development programs.\nDesign onboarding, CLE, professional development, and leadership training initiatives.\nCreate curriculum focused on personal injury litigation, case management, client advocacy, negotiations, depositions, and trial preparation.\nDevelop innovative learning experiences, including workshops, simulations, mock trials, coaching, and e-learning.\nEnsure training content reflects current Texas personal injury law, litigation best practices, and emerging legal technologies.\nReview and maintain training materials, resource libraries, and best-practice guides.\nFacilitate virtual, in-person, and hybrid training programs.\nEvaluate program effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.\nPartner with firm leadership, attorneys, and HR to identify development needs and support onboarding, mentoring, and retention initiatives.\nMonitor emerging trends in personal injury law, litigation strategy, legal technology, and AI tools and integrate relevant topics into training programs.\nManage program logistics, scheduling, communications, and participant engagement.\nCoordinate CLE-accredited training programs and professional development initiatives.\nMeasure program effectiveness through evaluations, assessments, performance metrics, and participant feedback.\nRequired Qualifications\nJuris Doctor (J.D.) and active Texas law license.\n5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation, legal training, attorney development, or professional development.\nStrong knowledge of civil litigation and trial preparation.\nStrong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.\nExperience designing and delivering training programs for legal professionals.\nExcellent communication, facilitation, and project management skills.\nExperience with LMS platforms, legal research tools, and legal technology.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in high volume, or a plaintiff-side personal injury firm.\nTrial experience.\nCertification in learning and development, instructional design or coaching.\nSupervisory or team leadership experience.\nExpertise in instructional design, adult learning, or curriculum development.\nLearning and development or coaching certification.\nSuccess Factors\nAbility to translate complex legal concepts into engaging learning experiences.\nStrong collaboration and relationship-building skills.\nStrategic focus on attorney development and business performance.\nCommitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in legal training.\nExceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills.\nPassion for developing future trial attorneys and strengthening the firm's litigation capabilities.\nBenefits\n401(k) with 4% company match (immediate vesting)\n80% employer-paid medical coverage\nDental, vision, and supplemental insurance\nPaid vacation, holidays, and leave\nRelocation assistance (if applicable)\nLeadership development and career advancement opportunities\nGym membership and employee recognition programs\nFirm events and community engagement opportunities\nEqual Employment Opportunity\nWe are an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.
