Join Reuters as a Data Specialist in our Rights Management team and play an essential role in the protection of our world-class content and how our team operates.

As a Rights Management Data Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in our IP Enforcement and Rights Management operations, working with content usage monitoring tools and collaborating across multiple teams to ensure Reuters' content is properly tracked and protected, and that our rights and content data is accurate and up-to-date.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Data Specialist, you will:

  • Manage Rights Management and IP Enforcement Data: Use tools such as Salesforce, Excel, and Power BI to prepare and circulate regular reports on Rights Management and IP enforcement matters, ensuring accurate tracking of case updates, financial projections, outcomes, licensing reviews, and enforcement activities.
  • Monitor Content Usage and Enforcement Activities: Collaborate with Data, Editorial, Sales, and Product teams to oversee content usage monitoring and data mapping across multiple platforms and media types, while supporting monitoring solutions such as Teletrax, Imatag, YouTube, and other content tracking tools.
  • Maintain Data Quality and Rights Information: Work closely with the Data Team to ensure the quality and accuracy of customer, content rights, and licensing data and metadata, including maintaining allow-lists, supporting rights verification processes, and validating customer entitlements where required.
  • Analyze and Visualize Data: Collect, validate, and analyze content usage data to prepare dashboards, visualizations, reports, and insights that support Rights Management, licensing, and IP enforcement activities.
  • Support Copyright and Licensing Matters: Assist with the management of copyright and licensing matters across online platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, websites, and other digital channels, including supporting investigations into potential unauthorized use of Reuters content.
  • Oversee Third-Party Enforcement Processes: Support oversight of detections and enforcement activities managed by Reuters' third-party enforcement partner, PicRights, including reviewing case data, validating enforcement opportunities, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to agreed processes.
  • Optimize Workflows: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline and automate workflows related to content monitoring, rights validation, reporting, and IP enforcement activities.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work effectively with Sales, Legal, Editorial, Data, Sales Support, Product, and other stakeholder teams to maintain shared workspaces, support rights-related initiatives, and ensure the accuracy of content rights, licensing, and third-party rights data.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Data Specialist if you have the following required qualifications:

  • Experience working with data management systems and tools such as Salesforce, Excel, and/or Power BI

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organizational abilities and process-oriented mindset

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders

  • Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive approach to process improvement

  • Understanding of or interest in intellectual property rights and content licensing

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in media, publishing, or content rights management

  • Knowledge of content monitoring tools or platforms

  • Background in data visualization or dashboard creation

  • Familiarity with copyright principles or intellectual property concepts

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For Poland, the base compensation range for this role is 84,000 PLN - 156,000 PLN. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
