Global regulatory compliance with e-invoicing and CTC (continuous transaction control) mandates presents a formidable and ongoing challenge for multinationals. The landscape of regulations governing indirect tax and the application of tax technologies is expanding but often involves a lack of uniformity among different regulatory bodies. This complexity, fragmentation, and evolving nature of compliance requirements necessitates a dedicated and knowledgeable team.

We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Associate to join ONESOURCE Thomson Reuters’ Regulatory Affairs (RA) team. The RA team has been instrumental in ONESOURCE Thomson Reuters successful global expansion, establishing our position as the global leader in e-invoicing and CTC compliance. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and critical area of our business, ensuring that we continue to lead and innovate in this essential field.

Key Responsibilities

This opportunity as Senior Regulatory Associate includes:

• Proactive and continuous discovery, monitoring and interpretation of relevant regulatory frameworks globally including, but not limited to digital real-time controls, data privacy, data sovereignty, data retention, indirect tax
• Identifying and engaging with external subject-matter experts for establishing the most accurate interpretation of regulatory and technical requirements
• Either own or be a stakeholder in work on obtaining and maintaining accreditations necessary to offer company services in required jurisdictions
• Supporting product organization in strategy, design, business requirements, feature and functionality trade-offs for products or services
• Ensure cross-functional education on relevant regulatory matters and developments
• Partner with marketing to develop thought leadership and market positioning strategy around compliance matters
• Representing in relevant trade associations and international organizations, including taking official positions in these
• Establishing and maintaining formal and informal contacts and engagements with relevant governmental agencies and inter-governmental bodies
• Representing at public speaking events, both physical and virtual
• Support sales and professional services organization in customer engagement and retention activities
• Drive additional ancillary revenues via products and services offered by the department

Required Qualifications

You’re a fit for the role of Senior Regulatory Associate if you have the following required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in e-invoicing/CTC, tax technology and/or indirect tax. Applicants with legal or compliance experience in digital, privacy and/or security areas, and the readiness to apply that knowledge to digital settings, as well as to learn new skills, will be considered.
• Relevant academic degree: ex. Business, Law, Economics, or similar with relevant work experience
• Fluent in both spoken and written English
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and document information clearly.
• Proficient with MS Office, comfortable with agentic AI and other planning and visualization tools
• Technical Skills: Demonstrates strong technical skills and the ability to effectively utilize various tools, including generative AI technologies, to enhance productivity and accuracy. Adapts to diverse projects and tasks within the generative AI space as well as new and emerging technologies.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of other languages is highly merited, including Arabic, French, German, Mandarin and more (preferred, but not required)
• Experience in ERP, B2B and data integration including solutions such as managed services (preferred, but not required)
• May assist with page layout and design activities, selection of graphics and artwork, interactive or social media el
• ements, and/or technical production of the final deliverable.
