Senior Director, HRBP - Product Engineering

Job Description

We are seekingan experienced and dynamic HR Business Partner to support our Product Engineering organization, working in close partnership with our Chief Technology Officer's leadership team. In this role, you will help execute forward-looking peoplestrategies aligned with our ambition to evolve and scale the products and services we deliver to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Director, HRBP - Product Engineering, you will report into the Vice President, HRBP - Product and Product Engineering. You will partner closely with senior leaders across our Product Engineering organization, which is led by our Chief Technology Officer and encompasses a large global team of engineering and technical talent. You will have accountability for:

Partnering and Innovating Across the Enterprise:

  • Support execution of the strategic people agenda in a highly matrixed and collaborative environment

  • Partner with key teams to align HR strategies with business objectives

  • Act as a change agent, supporting change management initiatives that foster innovation and transformation within the organization

Talent Strategy and Strategic Workforce Planning:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to help identifyfuture capabilities and align talent/technology strategies with industry trends and business needs

  • Support the development and execution of talent strategy and strategic workforce plans using predictive analytics and scenario modelling

Organizational Design and Talent Management:

  • Support the design of effective operating models and talent and technology management activities aligned to the business strategy

  • Strengtheningthe talent pool through succession planning, talent flowand career management

  • Support talent acquisition strategies to attract and onboard future capabilities

Organizational Health and Effectiveness:

  • Improve business effectiveness through operational enhancements aligned with the business model

  • Promote an inclusive and values-driven culture

Understanding Our Customers, Industry and Thomson Reuters:

  • Stay current on industry trends to inform HR practices and drive innovation

  • Build a professional network and represent Thomson Reuters HR at external events

Understanding Data and Creating Insight:

  • Utilize metrics and analytics to guide management decisions and improve organizational performance

  • Leverage Workday as a key platform for operational efficiency

Linking Financial Performance to People Planning:

  • Monitor financial performance to understand peopleimplications and help design HR responses accordingly

Required Qualifications

You'rea fit for the role of Senior Director, HRBP - Product Engineering if your background includes:

  • 8-10years of experience in HR as an HRBP, with technology transformation experience

  • Proven experience in high-functioning software development/technology-based organizations

  • Experience supporting product engineering organizations, contributing to a culture of engineering excellence

  • Experience supporting organizations with a track recordof building technology products

  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Experience in organizational design and change management

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, multicultural international environment

  • Influential storyteller with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Innovative mindset with experience in talent management and acquisition

  • Demonstrates learning agility and strong business acumen

  • Collaborating and Influencing: Build genuine partnerships and consensus across diverse teams

  • Leading Change: Support and advocate for innovation, helping guide leaders through business shifts

The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $158,100 USD - $293,500 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
