Beyond facilitating engaging sessions, you will help create and maintain high-quality training content across multiple formats, including instructor-led workshops, on-demand and eLearning courses, videos, and certification exams. These materials will stay aligned with the latest product capabilities and support effective learner outcomes.\nIf you are a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, quickly learns new concepts, and brings enthusiasm to every challenge, this role offers the opportunity to elevate customer experiences and deliver meaningful value through innovative Direct Tax technology solutions.\nKey Responsibilities:\nIn this opportunity as a Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for:\nLead product training focused on Direct Tax Compliance, specifically ONESOURCE Tax Provision and expanding to related solutions (ONESOURCE Global Access, ONESOURCE Workpapers) and expanding to related solutions as business and customer needs evolve.\nDeliver virtual multi-client workshops and dedicated client sessions; provide onsite training when needed.\nPartner with Curriculum Designers, Professional Services Implementers, and SMEs to identify training needs and effective delivery methods.\nReview and synthesize input from colleagues and external experts to co-create training that is effective and supports effective product usage\nStay current on tax technology, compliance practices, and market trends to keep content accurate and relevant.\nUpdate training assets for product releases as needed across formats, including workshops, webinars, office hours, eLearning, videos, exams, and toolkits as needed to reflect product enhancements/changes or for accuracy and clarity.\nAnalyze learner feedback and training metrics to improve programs and close curriculum gaps.\nBuild and maintain product expertise across Direct Tax Compliance and the broader Direct Tax portfolio.\nUse Thomson Reuters generative AI tools to accelerate work, improve deliverables, and adopt emerging AI best practices.\nRecord time and engagement details for accurate billing and utilization reporting; submit time and expense reports promptly.\nSupport training operations with timely attendance reports and other operational tasks as needed.\nWork in-office at least three days per week as part of a hybrid schedule.\nRequired Qualifications\nA bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, finance, business, education, or a related field.\nAt least four years of experience in Direct Tax, tax technology, tax compliance, or customer-facing product training.\nAbility to design and facilitate hands-on learning activities that drive adoption.\nAgility to manage technical issues, varied learner skill levels, and product changes while maintaining a positive learning experience.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.\nA customer-centric mindset focused on measurable training impact.\nAbility to build alignment across a complex, matrixed organization.\nStrong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently.\nStrong technical skills with generative and agentic AI, adaptability to emerging technologies, and curiosity about the evolving intersection of AI and tax technology.\nWillingness to travel for on-site training as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with tax technology or compliance platforms, including experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision, ONESOURCE Global Access, and ONESOURCE Workpapers, strongly preferred\nExperience delivering live and virtual training for groups of approximately 10 to 50+ participants.\nExperience leading cross-functional projects and delivering results on time.\nWhat’s in it For You?\nFlexibility & Work-Life Balance: Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to help manage personal and professional responsibilities, whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or finding time to refresh and reset.
