An ideal candidate will have prior knowledge or experience with U.S. Federal or commercial shipbuilding programs, standards, and regulations.\nTypical Responsibilities:\nProvide technical support and documentation for ship feasibility, concept, preliminary and contract design, integration, stability analysis, hydrodynamic and seakeeping properties.\nEvaluate systems and equipment, develop and analyze requirements, perform studies and documentation relating to hull form, stability, weights, structures, and design.\nDevelop system documentation and ship specifications for surface assets and boats, perform structural analysis and design using ISO and class society standards.\nLocation: Full time onsite at USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC. May be limited \"local remote\" flexibility with customer approval.\nTravel: Up to 10% travel is anticipated for ship checks.\nTypical Pay Range: The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $60,000 - $90,000. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.\nTypical Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion. Periodic visits to waterfront/shipboard environments. May involve: traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches) or vision.\nEligibility for a SECRET Security Clearance is Required: This position requires eligibility for a Secret security clearance, to be obtained after hire.
