At Thorne, you’ll be joining a team of more than 750 passionate individuals committed to our cause of providing superior health solutions at every age and life stage.\nSchedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Any required overtime will be scheduled on Thursdays during the same hours.\nThe Distribution Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the daily operation of Thorne\nResearch’s Distribution department, as assigned, and in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and applicable Thorne Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nCoordinates the day-to-day activities of Shipping personnel to assure the accurate and timely delivery of products and other items in accordance with Distribution policies and procedures, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and applicable Thorne Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nLeads a high-performance team (10 - 30 direct reports), developing and strengthening staff and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.\nDevelops teamwork with other departments, communicates goals to the department, sets the pace and is proactive.\nDemonstrates the ability to provide ongoing written and oral direction and clarity to Shipping personnel.\nUnder the direction of the Distribution Manager, ensures training and certification programs are current and reviewed on a timely basis (including safety training and forklift certification for applicable employees). \nMonitors employees’ progress throughout their training to ensure they reach required training levels in a timely manner. \nEnsures that performance appraisals for direct reports are conducted in a thorough and timely manner.\nContinually updates the Distribution Manager on the overall accuracy and efficacy of the order fulfillment process, setting and accomplishing team/department goals.\nWorks cooperatively with the supervisors and personnel in other departments on matters of inter-departmental interest and concern.\nResponsible for adherence to OSHA and localized safety standards.\nAnalyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.\nEnsures the proper maintenance of all shipping equipment and, if necessary, coordinates with maintenance for repairs.\nWHAT YOU NEED\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. \nMinimum 3 years’ related experience and/or training.
