You'll have a real, visible impact on team outcomes, independently shipping moderately complex features with quality, reliability, and urgency. You'll be a technical owner within your team, working closely with Product and Design, and helping shape your team's technical direction, culture, and delivery excellence. This role is a great fit for someone with a strong foundation in software development who's ready to grow their system design skills and take on more ownership!\nWhat You’ll Do: \nOwn the end-to-end delivery of moderately complex features and small-to-medium projects, from idea through production\nDesign, build, test, and maintain clean, reliable, well-documented code\nAct as the technical owner for your features or projects, ensuring quality, performance, scalability, and security\nBuild and maintain automated tests to support safe, reliable deployments\nScope, estimate, and manage your own work, communicating progress, risks, and blockers clearly and on time\nIndependently debug issues and investigate unfamiliar parts of the codebase, including participating in the support rotation\nCollaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teammates on requirements, feasibility, and design\nActively participate in stand-ups, technical discussions, and code reviews, giving and receiving thoughtful feedback\nSupport and mentor more junior developers while helping improve team processes and ways of working\nBuild an understanding of our product, customers, and how your work connects to company goals\nWhat We’re Looking for:\n3+ years of professional experience in software development, computer science, or computer engineering (co-op/internship experience counts toward this)\nProficiency in at least one core programming language used by our teams (e.g., .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript), with the ability to independently deliver moderately complex features\nSolid working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server), including schema design, querying, and performance considerations\nExperience working within a modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem - frameworks, build tools, package managers, and debugging workflows\nHands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests\nAbility to scope, estimate, and execute moderately complex work with minimal guidance\nStrong collaboration skills - you work well independently and as part of a cross-functional team\nClear written and verbal communication skills\nNice to Have:\nExperience with system monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Sentry, Scalyr, Azure Logs)\nExposure to Flutter or similar cross-platform mobile frameworks\nWorking knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts, preferably Azure\nComfort navigating and debugging unfamiliar areas of a production codebase\nA growth mindset, a sense of ownership, and a willingness to mentor others\nSalary Range\nThe hiring range for this role is $109,150 -128,412 CAD.
