Lead Digital Product Manager

Location: Newbury HQ + *Hybrid working

Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Mon - Fri

A high impact role, the Lead Digital Product Manager will own the strategy for our high value digital products and be responsible for the development and end-to-end lifecycle management for the critical products within the digital portfolio, leading our digital transformation.

Working in partnership with senior stakeholders across Digital Growth, Proposition, Sales and Service teams, you will translate business priorities and customer needs into a clear, prioritised product roadmap to drive business growth, customer satisfaction and digital product adoption.

You will need strong leadership skills, stakeholder management, sound commercial judgement, and the ability to drive outcomes through influence.

What you'll do

Digital Product Strategy & Transformation

  • Define the role and purpose of high value digital products within the Business Digital ecosystem and align to the wider digital strategy, leading the digital strategy within transformation programmes.
  • Own and evolve the product strategy and multi-year roadmap across digital products (portals, app, chat, and future AI capabilities), catering to all Business customer segments (SoHo, SME, Corporate, Public Sector and Indirect).
  • Ensure alignment between the product strategy, customer needs and commercial objectives.
  • Own the digital capex across digital products, ensuring clear forecasting and accurate business cases.

Digital Product Performance & Optimisation

  • Own performance of the digital product against focus KPI’s (e.g. adoption, engagement, digital containment).
  • Identify and lead opportunities to improve the product effectiveness and customer value.
  • Use data and insight to continuously refine product direction and drive continuous improvement

Capability Roadmap & Planning

  • Define the capabilities required across the digital product to support business and customer needs.
  • Prioritise product investment to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Align the product roadmap with Technology teams and platform constraints.

Enabling Growth and Propositions

  • Partner with Digital Growth, Propositions and key stakeholders across Business and externally to ensure the digital product supports GTM plans and new product/proposition launches to drive tangible market impact.
  • Translate commercial priorities into scalable digital product capabilities.

Delivery Alignment

  • Work closely with Sales and Service Product Owners to shape decision making to ensure effective execution of the roadmap within customer journeys.
  • Manage third party tools and external partner relationships as required, maximising opportunities to leverage additional features or capabilities for Business customers.

Leadership

  • Provide matrix management support to junior product managers where relevant
  • Ensure digital product strategy is clearly communicated and understood across the full team, and alignment to the broader business strategy understood.

Who you are

  • Significant experience leading digital product strategy and product management with execution accountability across complex digital platforms (e.g. apps, portals, self-service ecosystems), with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams and shape scalable, integrated solutions.
  • Strong understanding of business customer behaviour, enterprise technology and digital transformation
  • Proven ability to define product vision and roadmaps, balancing long-term direction with a strong focus on prioritisation, pace and delivering measurable value quickly.
  • Experience translating business and customer needs into clear digital product capabilities and priorities, and prioritising across multiple initiatives to maximise overall business value, with a demonstrated use of data and performance metrics (e.g. adoption, engagement, conversion, digital containment) to drive product decisions and optimisation.
  • Proven ability to challenge, influence and align senior stakeholders in matrix organisations, particularly across commercial, proposition, technology and customer experience teams, to ensure focus on the highest-value opportunities.
  • Leadership experience, including supporting and developing Product Managers and/or Product Owners.
  • Experience in telecommunications, technology or digital-first organisations; B2B experience beneficial but not essential; and comfortable operating in evolving environments.
