We are looking for an energetic and adaptable candidate to lead our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who likes to be busy, enjoys working with people, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to every shift.\n(Schedule: Sunday Night - Thursday Night 7:30 PM - 6:00 AM)\nSUMMARY:\nCoordinates orders to the production equipment and runs production of the plant efficiently.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nDirects and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods.\nWorks closely with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and shifts.\nPlans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.\nInspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.\nObserve work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.\nConduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.\nEnforces safety regulations and best practices are followed.\nReviews monthly performance of all employees with the plant manager.\nInterprets specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.\nKeeps records of employees' timecards and time off.\nRead and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.\nRequisitions materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.\nAssist in determining standards, and production goals, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.\nRecommends or implements measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, safety, product quality, or efficiency.\nRecommends personnel actions, such as hiring, evaluation, or promotion.\nAssist in the planning and development of new products and production processes.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDirectly supervises hourly employees in the production department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nAble to easily discern numbers to work with weights and measurements, accurately utilizing calculator, tape measure, calipers and scales.\nForklift Trainer Certified\nSelf-motivated and committed to safety as demonstrated through previous work\nComfortable working in fast-paced, hands-on, team environment\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy\nComfortable making decisions\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\n1+ year(s) of college or trade/technical school preferred\nExperience working in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook preferred\n3+ years of experience successfully leading, motivating and coaching a production team preferred\n3+ years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse required\nOr equivalent combination of education and experience.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
