Other duties may be assigned.\nManage the movement of goods into and out of the warehouse to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of operations:\nLoad and unload shipments onto or from delivery vehicles\nLocate and pull inventory to fill various customer orders\nReturn remaining stock material to appropriate storage area in racking system\nPackage outbound material per standard packaging methods to ensure safe transit\nAssess shipments for quality and freight damage upon receipt\nEnsure receiving documents are entered into the system with accuracy\nEnsure all shipping documents are required for inclusion with each package\nMonitor and submit, weekly time sheets including vacation/personal time and any points collected during the week to accounting.\nPerform staffing and coaching functions such as selection, training, and evaluation (including 90 day and annual reviews)\nPlan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.\nEnforce safety and sanitation regulations.\nReview daily production reports, determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates\nMaintains storage areas by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.\nMaintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.\nKeeps warehouse equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.\nRequirements\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDirects the work of hourly employees in the warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nREASONING ABILITY\nThe ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
