This role drives quality standards, supports release readiness, improves QA processes, and helps ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software.\nKey Responsibilities:\nTechnical Excellence\nDrive the continued development and improvement of test automation frameworks and testing processes.\nSupport and improve automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.\nIdentify opportunities to improve test coverage, reliability, and overall product quality.\nEvaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and technologies that enhance QA effectiveness.\nHelp establish and maintain testing standards, documentation, and QA best practices.\nPromote effective use of AI tools to improve test automation, test case generation, defect analysis, and overall QA efficiency.\n\nOwnership & Delivery\nCoordinate QA activities across releases to ensure quality standards are met.\nLead test planning, execution, validation, and post-release verification efforts.\nMonitor product quality, identify risks, and work with engineering teams to address issues proactively.\nSupport incident investigation, defect triage, and root cause analysis activities.\nHelp improve testing environments, release readiness processes, and quality monitoring practices.\nBalance delivery timelines with quality expectations and provide recommendations on release readiness.\nTeam & Company Impact\nMentor and support QA team members while promoting quality best practices across engineering teams.\nPartner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and developers to foster a culture of shared quality ownership.\nProvide input on quality risks, testing strategy, and process improvements during planning and development activities.\nDrive initiatives that improve QA efficiency, collaboration, and consistency across multiple teams.\nContribute to the ongoing evolution of QA standards, automation practices, and team processes.\nTechnical Environment\nPrimary Technologies (Daily Use)\nPlayWright/ Jest\nWeb technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)\nAPIs & MySQL\nBrowser developer tools\nGit\nSecondary Technologies (Regular Use)\nJira \nPayment testing tools\nPostman / API testing tools\nPerformance and load testing tools\nRequired Skills:\nExperience (5+ years)\nSoftware QA or testing experience in SaaS, eCommerce, fintech, or similar environments.\nStrong experience with both manual and automated testing.\nExperience coordinating, mentoring, or leading QA teams.\nExperience supporting software release cycles and cross-functional product teams.\nExperience testing APIs, databases, workflows, and web-based interfaces.\nExperience testing payment systems or transaction flows is highly valued.\nProven track record of improving QA processes, automation coverage, and overall product quality.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong expertise in test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, or similar tools.\nExperience designing, maintaining, and expanding automated test suites.\nStrong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, and database interactions.\nExperience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows.\nAbility to analyze complex systems, identify quality risks, and develop effective testing strategies.\nFamiliarity with performance, load, and exploratory testing methodologies.\nExperience using AI Agents and implementing and building AI tools and Agents.\nSoft Skills\nStrong leadership, organizational, and coordination skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and business teams.\nAbility to mentor QA team members and promote quality best practices.\nStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to balance hands-on execution with leadership responsibilities.\nProactive ownership mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.\nAbility to clearly communicate testing outcomes, quality risks, and release readiness.\nNice to Haves:\nJMeter, LoadRunner, or other performance testing tools\nAccessibility testing\nExperience with fintech, subscription billing, or eCommerce systems\nExperience leading distributed or remote QA teams\nExperience defining QA metrics, reporting, and quality standards\nLearn More About ThriveCart:\nOur team thrives on collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth.
