Thriveworks' licensed clinicians are in-network with most major insurance plans and provide in-person and online care for depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, relationship issues, and more.\nCompensation: $60,000 - $65,000\nAbout the Role & the Team\nThe Operational Excellence Specialist is a candidate with 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations, project management, healthcare administration, or process improvement.\nYou will work directly with teams across the organization to help streamline workflows, leverage technology, and improve the quality of care we provide. The role offers hands-on exposure to project management, process improvement, operational design, change management, and cross-functional collaboration.\nWe’re seeking someone who is strategically minded, analytical, and eager to learn- You should enjoy understanding how work gets done, identifying opportunities for impact, and partnering with others to build sustainable solutions.\nYou’ll join a small, high-impact team focused on efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement across the organization. This is a great opportunity to grow quickly, develop a strong foundation in operations, and contribute to meaningful improvements at a fast-growing healthcare company.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport process improvement initiatives across multiple departments by helping gather requirements, map workflows, document processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.\nAssist with project planning and coordination, including timelines, stakeholder management, meeting notes, and tracking action items.\nParticipate in root cause analysis, gap assessments, and solution brainstorming sessions.\nHelp maintain a centralized repository of process documentation, SOPs, and workflows.\nContribute to change management efforts by preparing communications, training materials, and documentation.\nTrack performance metrics and help monitor the impact of implemented improvements.\nBuild strong cross-functional working relationships and collaborate with teams to understand current-state challenges.\nSupport the team in promoting a culture of continuous improvement through curiosity, problem-solving, and structured thinking.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Operations, Public Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nProficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (especially Slides/PowerPoint and Sheets/Excel)\nAbility to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment\nA proactive, problem-solving mindset with enthusiasm for operational excellence\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExposure to healthcare or behavioral health environments\nFamiliarity with Lean or process improvement concepts (e.g., value stream mapping, root cause analysis)\nExperience with data or BI tools (Excel, Sheets, Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.)\nExperience working on cross-functional projects\nWhat We Give:\nCasual, progressive, and diverse organization\nBrand pride, you are truly helping people\nRemote forever (if you choose)\nTeam environment\nThriveworks is a growing company that provides a challenging, welcoming, and rewarding place to work.
