The ILRP Coordinator will lead and coordinate the design, development, implementation, in-service and evaluation of the Indigenous Languages Revitalization Program services, resources, and materials. The ILRP Coordinator will work closely with community partners and other knowledge carriers while working to promote, revitalize and support Indigenous language learning in Thunder Bay.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nPost-secondary education in Indigenous studies, social work, and/or combination of education and relevant work experience; minimum of two years of demonstrated and related work experience within an Indigenous organization or community.\nHigh level oral and written fluency in Indigenous language(s) will be considered an asset.\nStrong knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture and history, with particular emphasis on the impacts of residential schools, child welfare system, and colonialism on intergenerational language transmission.\nKnowledge and experience working with urban Indigenous children, youth, families and individuals in a healing and reconciliation capacity.\nExperience planning and leading educational, one-on-one and/ or support groups.
