You'll take ownership of a ledger, work directly with contractor clients to keep payments on track, and play a genuine role in credit risk decisions - including liaising with insurers and solicitors on legal cases. This isn't a purely transactional collections role: you'll have real input into process improvement and risk exposure across the business.\nWhat you'll be doing\nProcessing sales invoices and issuing monthly statements\nProactively identifying and chasing overdue accounts by phone and email, resolving queries directly with customers and internal colleagues\nReducing debtor days and overdue account percentages against agreed targets\nNegotiating payment plans and, where necessary, progressing legal proceedings\nMaintaining accurate records of customer contact, credit reports, and credit limits\nPosting and allocating customer receipts\nManaging legal cases in liaison with insurers and solicitors\nBuilding strong, constructive relationships with THX customers\nFlagging risk and process issues directly to the Financial Controller\nRequirements\nWhat you'll bring\nProven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role\nStrong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills\nConfidence with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (Sage 50 experience a plus)\nComfortable working independently and as part of a team\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nA proactive, adaptable approach - happy to challenge existing processes constructively and suggest better ways of working\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.\nDiscreet and trustworthy with sensitive information.\nBenefits\nTHX Values: As a family-centred business, people are at the heart of everything we do.
