This candidate must demonstrate the ability to apply math and problem-solving techniques to receive the various metals purchased.Job Description\nKey Accountabilities:\nManage Receiving appointments with all carriers and maintain an updated receiving log\nOrganize incoming paperwork\nDevelop procedure for prompt processing and handling of incoming paperwork\nReview incoming bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, purchase orders and other documents to determine accuracy of information\nRead PO details to ensure that incoming material meets special requirements when noted (properties, chemistry, etc.)\nMust be able to prioritize based on urgency of receipt\nEnter mill test report information\nRequest missing information from mill suppliers\nAt time of receipt, advise quality when material goes into “restricted” stock\nWhere applicable, weight conversions will be required (Kg to lbs)\nMaintain timely, effective and professional communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers\nReceive material when shipped direct to outside processors and/or warehouses - same receiving requirements apply\nResponsible for accurate record keeping, filing and other administrative duties as required.\nApply problem solving techniques to resolve discrepancies in receiving in a timely manner\nThis is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.\nMeets TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies\nThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
