The company develops high-performance aerospace systems, secure engineering solutions, and complex hardware for demanding operational environments.\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking a driven Technical Recruiter to help build the engineering and technical teams at Tiberius Aerospace. This role will manage full-cycle recruiting for specialized positions across aerospace, defense, engineering, and advanced manufacturing.\nReporting to Steven Brown, Senior Staff Recruiter, you will partner with hiring managers to translate technical requirements into targeted searches, engage exceptional candidates, and manage an efficient hiring process. The successful candidate will bring 3-5 years of technical recruiting experience, including required experience recruiting within the defense industry, along with the ability to assess technical backgrounds and build relationships with specialized talent.\nWhat You’ll Do\nManage full-cycle technical recruiting, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer support, and candidate closing.\nPartner with the Senior Staff Recruiter and hiring managers to define position requirements, hiring priorities, target companies, and candidate assessment criteria.\nRecruit across mechanical engineering, structural analysis, aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), propulsion, guidance, navigation and control (GNC), embedded software, electrical engineering, systems engineering, test, and manufacturing.\nDevelop targeted talent maps and candidate pipelines across defense contractors, aerospace manufacturers, emerging defense technology companies, and specialized engineering organizations.\nIdentify and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, referrals, professional networks, and direct research.\nConduct substantive screening conversations to evaluate technical qualifications, hands-on ownership, career motivations, and alignment with position requirements.\nPresent clear candidate summaries outlining qualifications, technical strengths, compensation expectations, location, availability, and areas requiring further assessment.\nCoordinate interviews, gather timely feedback, and maintain consistent communication with candidates and hiring teams.\nMaintain accurate applicant tracking records and provide visibility into pipeline health, search progress, and hiring challenges.\nSupport offer development, negotiations, and closing in partnership with the Senior Staff Recruiter and appropriate internal stakeholders.\nWork with HR, legal, and security teams to follow applicable hiring, export-control, and clearance-related procedures.\nRepresent Tiberius Aerospace with professionalism, discretion, and a strong commitment to the candidate experience.\nWhat You’ll Bring\n3-5 years of technical recruiting experience.\nPrior experience recruiting within the defense industry is required, either in-house or through a recruiting firm supporting defense clients.\nDemonstrated success sourcing and hiring engineers for specialized, difficult-to-fill positions.\nWorking knowledge of aerospace and defense engineering disciplines and the ability to discuss technical requirements credibly with candidates and hiring managers.\nProficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean search, talent mapping, and passive candidate engagement.\nExperience managing multiple searches while maintaining clear priorities, accurate documentation, and consistent follow-through.\nFamiliarity with recruiting for positions involving security-clearance requirements and export-controlled work.\nStrong judgment when evaluating candidate qualifications and distinguishing direct technical experience from adjacent exposure.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and relationship-management skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-moving environment with evolving hiring needs.\nU.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.\nNice to Have\nExperience recruiting for missile systems, guided weapons, propulsion, hypersonics, autonomous systems, or advanced defense hardware.\nExperience supporting a startup or high-growth aerospace and defense company.\nAn established network within Southern California’s defense and aerospace engineering community.\nExperience recruiting structural analysts, aerodynamicists, propulsion engineers, GNC engineers, and embedded software engineers.\nExperience supporting cleared hiring and coordinating with personnel security teams.\nFamiliarity with recruiting analytics and responsible use of automation to improve sourcing and execution.\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nCompensation & Benefits\nThe annual base salary range for this position is 120,000-120,000-140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.\nTiberius Aerospace offers equity participation, comprehensive health benefits, and a 401(k).
