The ideal candidate will have extensive accounts payable experience in a large and growing company, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, clear and professional communication skills and a solid understanding of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P)process. The ideal individual takes ownership of their work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and controls.\nJoin our team and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations while supporting a dynamic and growing organization.\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\nProcess high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely.\nManage the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P)cycle, including purchase order matching, invoice processing, approvals and payment execution.\nReview, process, and accurately code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts, cost centers and departments.\nReconcile freight invoices against shipping documentation, purchase orders, contracts and carrier agreements.\nPerform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts and invoices.\nNavigate online banking processes, including initiating payments and fund transfers.\nReview invoices for proper approvals and compliance with company policies.\nReconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.\nMaintain accurate vendor records and support vendor onboarding activities.\nRespond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoice and payment status.\nAssist with month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations and AP reporting.\nSupport audits by providing required documentation and account analysis.\nCollaborate with various department managers to ensure accurate invoice processing and cost allocation.\nIdentify opportunities to improve AP processes and controls.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n6+ years of Accounts Payable experience, ideally in a fast-growing organization.\nStrong understanding of accounts payable principles and best practices.\nHands-on experience managing the Procure-to-Pay (P2P)process, ideally using a procurement software tool.\nAbility to effectively multitask, prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.\nExcellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively across departments and manage to key deadlines and close timelines. \nPREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience with NetSuite ERPand/or Zip Procurement Softwareis a plus.\nExperience in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.\nKnowledge of freight accruals, transportation billing and cost allocation methodologies.\nKnowledge of GAAP and internal controls, especially as it pertains to accruals and accounts payable-related coding areas.\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.\nWORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nThis position operates primarily in a warehouse and industrial production environment. Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing, crouching, and lifting objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
