This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished project management professional ready to shape the future of project delivery within the water services industry.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMust operate and work within our Mission Driven Culture Core Values and Principles and encourage others to do the same.\nSet the strategic direction, standards, and methodologies for project delivery across the organization.\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, including hiring, performance management, and career development.\nOversee the full portfolio of active projects, ensuring alignment with schedules, budgets, and quality/safety standards; escalate and resolve portfolio-level risks.\nOwn P&L responsibility for the project management department, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin performance.\nServe as the senior point of contact for executive leadership, key clients, and strategic vendor and subcontractor relationships.\nNegotiate and manage major contracts, change orders, and client agreements.\nPartner with business development and estimating teams to support proposal development and new project pursuits.\nEstablish and monitor department-wide KPIs and reporting, providing regular portfolio performance updates to executive leadership.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives across project management processes, tools, and technology, including internal software platforms (Zoho, NetSuite, etc.).\nEnsure organization-wide compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and local/state permitting requirements.\nOversee invoicing, billing, and collections processes across the portfolio, partnering with Finance and the Accounts Receivable team.\nRepresent the project management function in executive, and where applicable, board-level meetings.\nBasic Qualifications:\n7+ years of progressive experience in project management within construction, industrial, environmental, water/wastewater infrastructure or related industry, including 3+ years in a leadership role managing project managers or teams.\nComfortable with up to 25% travel regionally throughout the Pacific Northwest and nationwide to job sites and client locations as needed.\nDeep knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and safety practices, with a track record of managing multi-million-dollar project portfolios.\nProven leadership and team-building skills, with experience hiring, mentoring, and developing project management staff.\nStrong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, budgeting, forecasting, and margin management.\nExcellent executive-level written and verbal communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.\nProficiency with project management, ERP, invoicing, and scheduling software (Zoho, NetSuite, etc.) and standard office tools (MS Office, etc.).\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and permits.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPMP Certification\nPE and/or Contractor’s License\nLicensing & Special Requirements:\nSubject to a criminal background check.\nTravel up to 25%, including client sites and job sites across California.\nValid driver's license and ability to drive to job sites in California.\nWorking Conditions:\nThis position requires occasional travel to active job sites, including outdoor environments and underground utility construction areas. Employees must be able to walk, stand, and navigate uneven terrain for extended periods during site visits. The role may also involve occasional lifting of materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
