Come join us!\n\nBasic Function: Perform exceptional overall maintenance, construction and repair of resort facilities and equipment.\nWork Performed :\nRespond and attend to guest room repair requests\nCommunicate with guests and staff to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision\nRequest, acquire and maintain inventory, parts and supplies as needed\nSafe use of hand and power tools and other material required to perform repair and maintenance tasks\nRepair or replace PVC/Copper pipe (including soldering)\nTroubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment i.e., plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.\nProgram TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties\nAssist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, filter replacement, etc.\nThorough clean-up of painting and/or repair area\nUse of Lockout/Tagout system before preforming any maintenance work\nUse engineering computer programs related to maintenance work\nPerform expert troubleshooting of resort Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems\nMaintain shop areas, spare parts areas, storage areas and inventories of the materials, equipment and associated parts of the trade\nRepair, install, adjust and perform preventive/predictable maintenance and maintain the information in a shop log or document the assignment through the work order system\nInstall and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs\nListen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other engineers to diagnose problem or repair machine\nRepair and maintain physical structure of establishment\nFabricate and repair furniture and fixtures\nPerform and maintain work to local, state and Federal codes\nRepair and finish sheet rock\nRepair all types of wall coverings\nCommunicate with engineering supervisor on projects as assigned\nRespond to all customer requests in a timely and professional manner\nAdhere to quality expectations and standards\nDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of the other employees and guests\nPerform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds and lead other engineers in maintenance duties\nDismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts\nOperate various equipment, maintain domestic hot and cold water systems and observe various electrical switchgear to ensure proper operation and repair/maintain as necessary\nAssist and lead Engineering staff with maintenance and projects to ensure quality workmanship\nTake water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water to maintain predetermined levels of chemical concentration\nSkill in advanced electrical systems including and troubleshooting\nPossess expert knowledge and skill with HVAC systems\nProficient use of computer systems\nPerform high level skills with laundry and kitchen equipment\nResponsible for guiding Engineering staff with Preventive Maintenance Program\nAssist Director of Engineering, Assistant Director and Engineering supervisors with general upkeep of the resorts systems and facilities\nOther duties as assigned\nSupervision Exercised: None\nSupervision Received: Assistant Director of Engineering\nMinimum Requirements:\nHigh school education or equivalent work experience. Expert skills in most of the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management. Prefer some experience in hotel/motel, high rise building or construction. Must have strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease. Computer skills required. Strong guest and team member relations skills. Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
