The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing real-time embedded software, developing scalable architectures, and leading technical decisions across firmware and embedded software teams.\n\nYou will work closely with engineering, product, hardware, and systems teams to translate product requirements into robust, reliable, and high-performance embedded solutions.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDefine the software architecture and technical roadmap for complex embedded systems.\nDesign scalable, modular, and reusable embedded software architectures.\nDevelop and review embedded software using modern C++.\nDesign and implement real-time systems using RTOS such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, QNX, VxWorks, or similar.\nDefine task/thread architecture, scheduling, inter-task communication, synchronization, memory management, and interrupt handling.\nDrive architectural decisions related to performance, latency, reliability, scalability, and resource utilization.\nCollaborate with hardware, firmware, systems, and product engineering teams on end-to-end product architecture.\nEstablish coding standards, design patterns, development methodologies, and best practices.\nReview architecture, design documents, source code, and technical implementations.\nMentor senior engineers and technical leads and provide technical direction to embedded development teams.\nTroubleshoot complex system-level issues involving concurrency, timing, memory, hardware/software interfaces, and real-time performance.\nDrive technical investigations, proof-of-concepts, and evaluation of new embedded technologies.\nSupport product development through design, development, integration, testing, and production.\nEnsure compliance with relevant embedded software quality, safety, and security standards where applicable.\n\nProgramming\n\nStrong proficiency in C and C++.\nExcellent understanding of modern C++ concepts, preferably C++11/14/17 or later.\nObject-oriented programming, templates, STL, design patterns, memory management, and multithreading.\nStrong understanding of low-level programming and resource-constrained environments.\n\nRTOS\n\nStrong hands-on experience with at least one RTOS, such as:\nFreeRTOS\nZephyr\nQNX\nVxWorks\nThreadX\nEmbedded Linux real-time environments\n\nEmbedded Systems\n\nStrong understanding of microcontrollers/microprocessors and embedded architectures.\nExperience with hardware/software interfaces and peripheral drivers.\nKnowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, USB, or similar.\nExperience with bootloaders, device drivers, BSPs, firmware architecture, and hardware abstraction layers.\nUnderstanding of memory architecture, DMA, interrupts, caches, and low-level debugging.\n\nEmbedded Linux\n\nStrong understanding of Embedded Linux is preferred.\nExperience with Linux kernel, device drivers, BSP, boot process, cross-compilation, and build systems is an advantage.\nExperience with Yocto/Buildroot is desirable.\n\nArchitecture & Design\n\nStrong understanding of embedded software architecture and system design.\nExperience with modular, layered, component-based, and event-driven architectures.\nKnowledge of UML, architecture/design documentation, and design patterns.\nAbility to evaluate architectural trade-offs involving performance, memory, reliability, maintainability, and scalability.\nExperience designing systems involving multiple processors, communication interfaces, or distributed embedded components is
