hands-on engineering is a core expectation of this role.\n\n- Define and enforce engineering standards including TypeScript-first coding conventions, design patterns, security baselines, and performance benchmarks.\n\n- Architect and govern REST APIs, WebSocket services, and MCP server integrations across distributed systems built on NestJS/Node.js.\n\n- Design, develop, and integrate AI-powered features using Cloudflare Agents, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI agent frameworks.\n\n- Deploy and manage applications on AWS (S3, Athena, k8s/EKS) using edge-first architecture.\n\n- Drive performance optimization, scalability planning, and production reliability across multiple web apps serving internal and external users.\n\n- Lead technical discovery and solutioning for new features, integrations, AI tooling, and platform migrations.\n\n- Own CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in collaboration with the DevOps team including GitLab CI, conventional commits, and deployment automation.\n\n- Conduct deep-dive code reviews and architectural walkthroughs ensuring correctness, maintainability, and TypeScript-first quality.\n\n- Champion automated testing strategy including unit, integration, and end-to-end coverage using Jest, Vitest, and Playwright.\n\n- Leverage AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Antigravity) to accelerate development and model best practices for the team.\n\nPeople & Delivery Management (30%) :\n\n- Lead and grow a team of 6 - 12 engineers by managing hiring, onboarding, and career development.\n\n- Set clear goals, expectations, and performance benchmarks by conducting regular 1:1s and structured performance reviews.\n\n- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers toward technical leadership and build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.\n\n- Partner with Product Management to translate business requirements into engineering roadmaps and delivery plans.\n\n- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Design, Product) to ensure smooth delivery and consistent quality.\n\n- Manage project timelines, dependencies, and technical risk by communicating status and blockers to leadership proactively.\n\n- Stay current with emerging technologies such as AI agents, edge computing, WebSockets, and MCP and drive continuous adoption of better engineering practices.\n\nRequired Skills (Mandatory) :\n\n- TypeScript : 10+ years; deep expertise in strong typing, generics, and TypeScript-first architecture on both frontend and backend.\n\n- AI Agents : Hands-on experience with Cloudflare Agents, LangChain, LangGraph, Flue, or similar; prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and AI-powered feature integration.\n\n- Cloud Providers : AWS (S3, Athena, k8s/EKS) and/or Azure; hands-on infrastructure and deployment experience.\n\n- REST APIs, WebSockets & MCP Servers : Designing, governing, and consuming APIs;
