{"id":2219060,"url":"https://alion.io/job/tier-one-technologies-power-bi-developer","title":"Power BI Developer","company":{"id":3883376,"name":"Tier One Technologies","domain":"tieronetechnologies.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/tier-one-technologies","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":null,"truth_index":null},"role":"Analytics","role_family":"Analytics","seniority":"middle","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"remote","remote_scope":"stated_countries","remote_scope_basis":"posting_text","remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"inferred","locations":[],"countries":[],"hiring_countries":["US"],"hiring_countries_total":1,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":4,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Power BI","optional":false},{"name":"ETL/ELT","optional":true},{"name":"Python","optional":true},{"name":"SAS","optional":true},{"name":"SQL","optional":true}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-10T09:08:01Z","employer_posted_date":null,"last_verified_at":"2026-10-10T09:08:01Z","board_verified":false,"closed_at":null,"days_open":2,"trust":{"level":"not_scored","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":2},"description":"OverviewPLEASE NOTE: No corp-to-corp candidates will be accepted.\n\nTier One Technologies is seeking a Power BI Developer to support our direct US Government client.\n\nThis will be a 100% remote position.\n\nMust be a US citizen.\n\nSELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.\n\nResponsibilities\nPrimary focus on business intelligence and reporting technologies/methodologies.\n\nIdentify data to clean, transform, and load into data models.\n\nCreate data models, establish relationship cardinality and cross-filter direction, and build complex measures.\n\nVisualize data models by creating reports and dashboards.\n\nAssist in the delivery of quality solutions using Microsoft Business Intelligence tools (Power BI) and related technologies.\n\nPartner with the customers and OCIO technical team members to assist with requirements definitions, solution designs, technical architecture, and delivery.\n\nWork collaboratively with team members including project managers, solution architects, and business analysts.\n\nImplement solutions using Microsoft Power BI tool suite and related technologies.\n\nLeverage database systems including data warehouses, data marts, and models needed for business, financial, and operational analysis and/or reporting.\n\nDevelop high performing, reliable, and scalable solutions.\n\nOptimize performance on new and existing data models.\n\nClearly communicate technical details to business and management staff.\n\nPerform data analysis which supports and enhances company’s information management systems and services.\n\nAuthor and oversee design documents for approved projects.\n\nDevelop, publish and, schedule reports, dashboards & scorecards, data exploration, and visual analytics using existing and emerging technologies and tools.\n\nProvide meaningful feedback and coaching of other team members in the use of Microsoft Power BI and related technologies.\n\nProvide insight and recommendations on new and emerging technologies and concepts to team members.\n\nEager to contribute to a team-oriented environment.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field or possess a PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification or equivalent.\n\n4+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence and/or Information Management.\n\n2+ years of experience with data visualization and implementing high-value solutions; experience performing administrative activities across multi-environment infrastructures.\n\n2+ years of experience working in a client-facing technical role.\n\nPrior experience with government software development policies and procedures is a PLUS.\n\nStrong knowledge of data management, business intelligence and analytics concepts including: \nExtract, transform, load (ETL)\n\nData warehousing, data marts, data stores, and cubes\n\nData quality and profiling\n\nData governance, data management, and metadata management\n\nData visualization, dashboard design / implementation, reporting, self-service BI, data KPIs, and scorecards\n\nPredictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics\n\nProficiency in one or more languages like SQL, SAS, R or Python.\n\nExcellent communication skills.\n\nMust be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.\n\nMust have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.\n\nCannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years.
