In this role, you will contribute to the design, deployment, testing, and support of high-capacity telecom solutions connecting data centers, cloud environments, on-net buildings, service providers, and telecom operators worldwide.\nKey Responsibilities\nContribute to the design, implementation, and validation of telecom solutions built on DWDM and OTN technologies\nSupport optical network capacity planning and optimization across the transport infrastructure\nParticipate in the resolution of network issues and actively support service delivery\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams on network upgrades and customer deployments\nApply industry standards and internal engineering best practices in day to day operations\nMaintain accurate documentation of network designs, configurations, and operational procedures\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, IT, or Electronics\n1-3 years of hands-on experience in optical networking and telecom infrastructure\nWorking knowledge of SDH, DWDM, OTN, Ethernet, and fiber optic transmission principles\nSome practical exposure to optical network equipment from leading vendors (e.g., Infinera, )\nBasic familiarity with network management systems and performance monitoring tools\nAnalytical mindset with a structured approach to problem solving\nTeam oriented with the ability to work effectively in fast paced technical environments\nPreferred Skills\nAwareness of IP/MPLS integration with optical transport layers\nInterest in or early experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python) for network operations\nAny certification or training in optical networking technologies (e.g., Infinera XTC, G30, G40) is a plus\nPersonal Attributes\nGood interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative and eager to learn,\nProactive and able to work with guidance while progressively taking ownership,\nComfortable operating in a project driven environment (planning, follow-up, stakeholder communication)\nFluent in English, both written and spoken\n At Tieto, we believe in the power of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
