The role requires strong experience in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, data modelling and SQL, along with the ability to integrate data from Azure, Databricks, SAP/enterprise data sources and other business applications.\nThe candidate should be comfortable working with Data Engineering teams, Business Analysts and business stakeholders in a global delivery environment.\nKey Responsibilities: Power BI Development\nDesign, develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports and scorecards.\nTranslate business requirements into intuitive, scalable and performant reporting solutions.\nBuild optimized semantic/data models using Star and Snowflake schemas.\nDevelop complex DAX measures, calculated columns and business KPIs.\nPerform data transformation and data preparation using Power Query (M).\nIntegrate Power BI with data sources such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Excel, SharePoint and Databricks, as well as other enterprise/cloud applications.\nOptimize Power BI reports, DAX queries and data models for improved performance and usability.\nPower BI Administration & Operations\nManage Power BI Service, including workspaces, semantic models/datasets, dataflows and deployment pipelines.\nConfigure and support data gateways, refresh schedules, user access and security groups.\nImplement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).\nMonitor Power BI capacity, report performance, refresh failures and platform health.\nTroubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA) and support issue resolution.\nMaintain technical documentation, SOPs and knowledge-base articles.\nCollaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics and business teams to ensure reliable end-to-end BI solutions.\nFollow organizational security, governance and development standards and ensure alignment with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.\nTechnical Skills & Certifications: Essential Skills\n5-8 years of experience in BI, Analytics or Data & Reporting solutions.\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.\nAdvanced proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M).\nStrong experience in data modelling, Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.\nStrong SQL skills and experience working with relational and analytical data sources.\nExperience integrating Power BI with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Databricks, Excel and SharePoint.\nExperience managing workspaces, gateways, semantic models/datasets, dataflows and deployment pipelines.\nStrong understanding of RLS, OLS and Power BI security/access management.\nExperience with performance optimization, capacity monitoring and refresh troubleshooting.\nExperience with production support, incident management and root cause analysis.\nGood understanding of Git, CI/CD and DevOps practices for BI solutions.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nGood communication skills and experience working with technical teams and business stakeholders.\nCertifications\nMicrosoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) preferred.\nRelevant Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data certification would be an added advantage.\nHands-on enterprise Power BI development and operational experience is essential.\n At Tieto, we believe in the power of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
