This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about delivering impactful, meaningful solutions.\nThis role is based on a hybrid work model, with 3 days per week in our Sofia office.\nKey responsibilities\nArchitect, develop, and maintain scalable mobile applications using React Native\n\nDesign and implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces with a strong focus on performance, usability, and accessibility\n\nCollaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features aligned with business requirements\n\nDevelop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Node.js to support mobile functionality\n\nImplement and manage state using Redux and Redux Toolkit for scalable and predictable data flow\n\nApply modern JavaScript (ES6+) and clean architecture principles to build maintainable and reusable codebases\n\nOptimize application performance, responsiveness, and stability across devices and network conditions\n\nEnsure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices\n\nDebug and resolve production issues to maintain application reliability\n\nStay updated with emerging trends and best practices in React Native and mobile development\n\nUse agentic coding practices to develop and debug issues.\n\nDevelop features for platforms that allow patients to measure and track their health status and read data from medical devices.\n\nRequired experience & qualifications\n5+ years of professional experience in JavaScript/TypeScript development\n\n3+ years of hands-on experience building mobile applications with React Native\n\nStrong experience with Node.js and developing scalable backend services and RESTful APIs\n\nSolid understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript best practices\n\nProven expertise in state management using Redux and Redux Toolkit\n\nExperience designing, integrating, and consuming RESTful APIs\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and mobile app deployment processes (App Store and Google Play)\n\nStrong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail\n\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams\n\nExcellent spoken and written English language skills\n\nA significant advantage would be\nExperience integrating Bluetooth technologies (e.g., BLE devices, wearable tech) into mobile applications\n\nFamiliarity with native module development and bridging between React Native and native iOS/Android code\n\nKnowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices\n\nExperience with analytics, crash reporting, and monitoring tools (e.g., Firebase, Sentry)\n\nFamiliarity with Node.js frameworks such as Express or NestJS for building scalable backend services\n\nAt Tieto, we believe in the power of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
