By being data- and customer-centric, we deliver better services, new functionalities, and lower costs across our portfolio.\nWhen joining Tieto Banktech as a Test Engineer\nDesign, develop, and maintain automated UI and API test suites, with a focus on functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.\n\nDevelop and maintain UI automation using Playwright and API automation using REST Assured with Java.\n\nBuild useful API coverage for service behaviour, including positive and negative scenarios, data validation, authentication and authorization, and error handling.\n\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and help ensure that test feedback is reliable and actionable.\n\nAnalyse failures, distinguish product defects from test or environment issues, and report defects with clear evidence and reproduction steps.\n\nWork with developers and product colleagues in refinement and planning to identify risks and testability needs early.\n\nContinuously improve the reliability, maintainability, execution time, and coverage of test automation.\n\nUse AI-assisted tools where appropriate in the automation workflow, critically review their output, and follow applicable quality and data-handling practices.\n\nWho we are looking for\nWe are expanding our Quality Assurance team in FCP. This position requires flexibility, collaboration, and a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.\nWe envision that you have the following background and competencies:\nAround 3 years of hands-on experience in software testing and test automation in an agile product or enterprise development environment.\n\nPractical Java programming skills and experience building clean, maintainable automated tests.\n\nHands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation and REST Assured for API automation.\n\nExperience with JUnit and a solid understanding of test design, assertions, test data, and debugging automated tests.\n\nUnderstanding of functional, regression, API, and integration testing, and how to select suitable testing levels for a change.\n\nWorking knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into a software delivery process.\n\nFamiliarity with application environments, infrastructure, cloud concepts, and diagnosing environment-related failures.\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to quality.\n\nProfessional fluency in English.\n\nAs a person, we believe you are a team player who takes action and demonstrates responsibility to organize your work and solve your tasks.
