You will manage and develop a team of creditors clerks, support the AP Manager’s automation strategy, maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and ensure consistent compliance with all internal controls, policies and procedures. You will assist internal and external auditors with AP-related audits and queries.WHAT YOU WILL DO:\nSupervise and manage the creditors clerks, including task allocation, training, coaching and performance management\nEnsure accurate and timely processing of invoices, credit notes and creditor reconciliations\nReview and sign off creditor statement and payment reconciliations as a key control prior to payment release by the CU supervisor\nForward supplier master data changes to the Supplier Master Data team when contacted by suppliers directly\nOversee local payment processing and ensure payments are executed within agreed terms\nContribute to the weekly cash flow forecast by providing accurate AP-related payment data\nSupport the AP Manager’s automation strategy by identifying process improvements and adopting AP automation tools\nAssist internal and external auditors with AP-related audit queries and documentation\nEnsure proper AP financial controls and systems are in place and consistently applied\nManage the creditors control account and ensure month-end reconciliation is completed accurately\nOther AP-related duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager\nWHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE:\nKey attributes and competencies\nB.Com Accounting degree or Technikon Diploma\nAbility to work under pressure\nStrong accounts payable and creditors management background\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills\nSupervisory and people management capability\nProficient with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle), Excel and AP automation tools\nExperience\n3-5 years in accounts payable or creditors management, FMCG preferred\nVendor reconciliations\nIn accordance with the employment equity plan of Tiger Brands and its employment equity goals and targets, preference may be given, but is not limited, to candidates from under-represented designated
