Multimedia Platform department is mainly responsible for multimedia processing systems, including video transcoding systems, cloud editing systems and image processing systems. The technology stack involved includes backend services, multimedia engineering, multimedia frameworks, heterogeneous computing, etc. Our platform processes hundreds of millions of videos and tens of billions of pictures every day, strongly supporting the development of TikTok. Our vision is to build the best multimedia processing platform and become the best multimedia engineering architecture team.
We are looking for experienced talents to join our Sydney team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale multimedia processing systems and high-performance computing frameworks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and solve challenging engineering problems across multimedia, heterogeneous computing and AI infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of video computing framework to support the efficient processing of the company's massive video and complex business needs.
- Support the multimedia-related business requirements of the company's product lines, including but not limited to image processing, video transcoding, video editing, video analysis, etc.
- Responsible for video processing related performance analysis and optimization.
- Participate in the design and optimization of large-scale multimedia processing systems, improving system throughput, latency, stability and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with product, algorithm, platform and infrastructure teams to explore and implement solutions for multimedia and AI-related engineering scenarios.
任职要求 / Requirements
Minimum Qualification(s)
- Bachelor's degree or above in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of hands-on industry experience in software engineering, multimedia systems, high-performance computing, backend infrastructure, heterogeneous computing, or related areas.
- Proficient in at least one of the mainstream languages C/C++/Python/Go, with excellent coding, debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of computer systems fundamentals, including operating systems, data structures, algorithms, networking and concurrent programming.
- Proficiency in Chinese and English is required to collaborate with global partners and key stakeholders based in Mandarin-speaking markets, where Mandarin is a primary working language.
Preferred Qualification(s)
- Experience in multimedia-related technology such as video codec, detection, enhancement, image/video processing or media framework development.
- Experience in media processing framework development is preferred.
- Experience in video processing-related performance optimization is preferred.
- Experience in transcoding or computing platform development is preferred.
- Familiar with GPU hardware architecture, and proficient in one or more inference optimization software stacks such as CUDA, CUTLASS or similar toolchains; experience in AI model performance analysis and operator optimization on at least one heterogeneous chip or accelerator is preferred.
- Understanding of mainstream LLM and multimodal model architectures, mainstream inference frameworks such as vLLM and SGLang, and common large model parallelism strategies is preferred.
- Understanding of common large model quantization algorithms and operator optimization solutions is a plus.
- Positive and optimistic, strong sense of responsibility, careful and meticulous work, good team communication and collaboration skills.
