We need a strong engineer who can lead a small team in India and write production code every week. You'll work directly with our US-based founder and team, make technical decisions and take responsibility for getting features delivered.\n\nWhat the role involves : \n\nYou'll lead and mentor 3-5 engineers across Monay Wallet and Monay Blockchain. The work includes wallet applications, backend services, ledger integrations and smart contracts.\n\nTech Stack : TypeScript, Next.js, React Native with Expo, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Rust, TigerBeetle, Solidity, Foundry, Hardhat and Arbitrum Orbit/Stylus.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\n- Take features from specification through implementation, testing and release.\n\n- Review code carefully and keep pull requests small enough to review properly.\n\n- Protect payment and ledger correctness as the products grow.\n\n- Use Claude Code or comparable AI coding agents daily, and verify what they produce.\n\n- Help your team solve problems, improve their work and meet commitments.\n\n- Raise blockers early and take the initiative to resolve them.\n\nRequirements : \n\n- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading or mentoring engineers.\n\n- Strong, current coding skills in TypeScript/Node.js or Rust, with a willingness to work in both.\n\n- Practical experience with AI coding agents in everyday engineering.\n\n- Exposure to Ethereum/EVM, Solidity and smart contract tooling.\n\n- A solid understanding of APIs, relational databases and testing.\n\n- Clear written English and dependable communication.\n\n- A record of taking ownership and finishing difficult work without constant supervision.\n\nPreferred Experience : Payments, fintech, double-entry accounting, reconciliation, wallet integrations, TigerBeetle or Arbitrum experience would be useful.\n\nExpectations : This is a demanding startup role. We're looking for someone dedicated, focused and highly motivated. You should be comfortable starting work without waiting for detailed instructions, making decisions and being accountable for the result.\n\nEmployment and stock options : You'll initially be employed by Tilli Software India. The role will move to Monay India once the local entity is established.
